I used to put bows and ribbons on presents. But since having seven kids, that has become too time consuming and not as cost effecctive. Sure, it is more pretty with bows and ribbons. So, I am sure that later when I have more time and money as the kids more out, I will make them nice and pretty again. But at this point, they are just going to tear into them...so why make them look that pretty?

Some presents I put all the bells and whistles but not all.It really depends if I remember where I put all of that stuff.

I wrap them and just use the regular stick on bows. My mother used to spend hours making beautiful bows with little curls of ribbon hanging down for each package. It seems like a waste of time to me because they just get thrown away.

Normally, I cheat and buy giftbags (though I did wrap presents this year)I'll usually put a bow on one or two of them.

I wrap mine up and put bows on them. I do not do ribbons because the kids just get too frustrated they can't rip them open as fast.

We don't have the money to go out and buy presents for people so I make them - fudge and cookies, a pie, decorative pillow or a lap blanket, stuff like that. My mother and my mother in law especially like to get decorative pillows or lap blankets made from scraps of the kids old clothes and the kids love it when I turn their 'baby' toys of stuffed animals into pillows. Anyways, that being the case, I don't use traditional wrapping paper - I re-use gift bags I've saved from gifts I've gotten, and the kids and I will decorate the brown paper bags from the grocery store and use them as gift bags.
