My family member has been diagnosed with this and I am wondering about what stage he is in. His white bood count is 170,000. His spleen is enlarged and his belly is huge. He has diabetes and has had a quad bipass.
It's hard to say. You and he should talk to his doctor about this. Get him to a state of the art treatment center, such as City of Hope near LA, California or Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
