Threat - Threat to earth
The greatst threat to mankind is MAN himself. As all the said problems are created by man and man is responsible for them.Man is always trying to concure nature and loosing in its effort.Man must stop distruction of nature or it will be the reason for its distruction.

Yeah I agree with him. Man is bound by illusory nature of this world. If he does not realize the relationship with other living entities he is certain to fall down.

I don't think anyone of your choices meet that.It is the jealousy and hungerness of more and more money.. Apart from that, the greatest threat to mankind is the nuclear attack from any terrorist group. It will end them along with the Human race from the earth.

The greates threat to mankind today is GREED, GREED, and more GREED! Greed for money; Greed for Fame; and Greed for Power. If these would be overcomed it would be wonderful but I doubt they'll stop becoming greedy.

I believe the rift between the free Western world and the developing countries in the Middle East and SOuth Asia will be the biggest conflict in the world today. The split in ideology between the free democratic West and the ideology of the theocratic Church State in the new resurgence of conservative Islam will create a Cold War like standoff.

I would add hatred, ignorance, and discrimination to the list, and then I would have to say that all of the above are competing equally for the "honors". They are all major problems, some easier to contain or resolve than others. But the greater problem is that the world will not unite to work on solutions.
