there are a lot of opposing opinions about this matter.. personally, i am still undecided as to whether gambling should be legalized. i do know that the government will really get revenues if gambling is legitimized, but i do know as well that this cause people to spend more and more in the hope of earning instant cash.

A few year ago, here where I live we were given that chance to vote on having a lottery. We were told the revenue from this would go towards schools and lower our taxes. So it was voted in. Now our taxes are higher than ever. The revenue goes to towards schools, but it college tuitions and most of the kids that get it are children of politicians. Then a few years later casino gambling was up for a vote, once again big promises of how our taxes would lower. Once again gambling is legalized and taxes are still high. So all it has gotten us is higher taxes and more adults putting themselves in debt thanks to their newfound addiction. Gambling is useless in any community. There are no positives for it, other than helping the fat cats get fatter off the poor. It’s discusting!

The gambling will never be legalized in USA because if they do that the city of Las Vegas will be nothing in there is too hot is not a resourses and if that hapen no body will live there. So the goverment is thinking that in one city they will get more money and also in that way they find a jobs to the people in Nevada.
