How should I react?

I live in hostel & I have a friend here who, kind of, takes away the books from others rooms. Not that he steals it or anything like that. He reads the books, his usage is rough (lot of pages get torn), then after reading, he suddenly returns the books! Even if asked in between, he says he doesn't have the book. What should I do of him? Any suggestions......

i think first advice him not to do it becoz it is not good. then second if he dont listen to you then try to tell him that u will tell anybody about what he is doing if he dont listen to you. I think that should be enough.
