What will you do if you find out your own kid is selling heroin

What can you do to help your child when you learn that he or she has a heroin addiction and they are selling dope to anyone who has the money no matter if its kids like themselves? Would you come down hard on him or her or would you be supportive? Would you put them out on the street because you do not want a dopefiend in your house? Or will you try and show him the way to say NO to drugs? Have you ever been put in a position to put your own kid in jail, thinking this is the only way to get the help they need? Or do you just don"t care? Speak your mind out what thoughts do you have on this discussion?

I would beat the living tar out of him! Just kidding! I would try to get him clean. I would help him as much as I can. If I couldn't help him then I would get the professionals to help.

star4all I really did not think you were the abusive type.. smile.. to beat a kid and try and make him do something that is never the answer, Love and understanding that is the answer and Patience lots of patience. your answer is a good one let the professionals deal with it thats good. I gave you a big + because your response made sense.

If it were my kid, I'd try and help him or her out, by getting suitable help, and I'd be as supporive as possible, because this was my child, brought into the world by me and my wife. If I as a parent don't care then who else will?

This is a good respond for it shows you care about your child as a parenat wwe are suppose to be supportive and try and understand and not turn our backs away when they need us the most. Its terrible to be alone and have noone to turn to when you are in such pain. You are indeed a very good person and have a big heart and if your child should ever get into anykind of trouble he is very lucky to have you there at his or her side. Dont ever give up on your kids. Always find time for them and Listen.. thanks for your response and it merits a big plus++

I would turn him/her in and have them pay the price. It would be for their own good in the end.

Now thats kind of strong medicine and I will have to diagree iwht your thoughts on this for this I would never do to anyone is turn them in to the law not if it was a child,my own blood, no way I could not do this. but you have your right to your say so thanks for your respond. also for thaking time to read my discussion and responding to it. I wish you would check out some of the other discussions I have posted and respond to them I have some very interesting ones and they are pretty good if I do say so myself especially the one that says What is the most scariest experience you have ever had in your life? and also the one about if you had a last wish before you diewhat would you wish for?
