For me it was a self driven cruise down the murry river .AN awesome experience indeed ,so relaxing and not a care in the world .Drifting on the river current ,listing to the birds each morning ,no cars dogs barking none of the everyday hassles .I would do it again and again

Edithburgh Jetty - Edithburgh Jetty, S.A.
I think the best holiday we have had would be one when we went to Edithburg in South Australia. This is my husband's favourite fishing spot and we ended up staying there for 5 months, even though we only went for 6 weeks originally. We took a few days to travel there and during our stay we caught up with some friends in Adelaide, Gawler and the Barossa Valley. Edithburg is a small town, overcrowded during the holidays and summer of course, but peaceful the rest of the time. We would walk out the the jetty of a morning, then I would leave my husband fishing and walk up to the shops for the paper etc. Wander back to the caravan park and relax but then take lunch to my husband - something to do. Back to the caravan again and just read and relax. We had fish for tea most nights except on a Thursday when we would go to the local pub for a counter tea, roast night. LOL We spent some days camping in the Innes National Park plus visiting other areas on the Yorke Peninsula. It was a wonderful time but I was also glad to get back home again after being away for that long. :)

Thanks very much for giving me best response for this one hope, and as a matter of interest when my husband saw the Doctor recently, the Doctor asked "do you need any prescription repeats?" Husband replies, "Yes one so she (meaning me) will let me go fishing at Edithburgh". Doctor looks at me and says "Okay" and then proceeds to write out a prescription for it. He gave the script to me though, which is generally what my husband does anyway. Bleeding men. LOL

My best and most relaxing vacation was when my husband and I went to Jamaica to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed at the Hedonism 2. It was so great. We didn't have to worry about anything because it was all inclusive. There was always food and activites if we wanted. the temperature was around 78 the enitre week we were there. There were no children which was a big reason why we choose the Hedonism. We could lay in a hammock by the beach all day long with drinks in our hands. The water was warm and beautiful. There were terrific sunsets. I got a massage which was wonderful. All in all it was awesome. We do plan on going back again someday.

For me it was a night at a beach resort in St. Pete, FL. We went to Trade Winds with some friends and it was just the most fun and the least amount of stress ever. Yes, if I had the chance I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I think my most relaxing, amazing holiday is yet to come because i am going to Boracay Island this coming February. It's a world class beach in the Philippines with white powdery sand and clear aqua green colored ocean.

Do you know the most relaxing holiday I had was on a self driven houseboat at the Gold coast. It was also the funniest! My husband and I went with another couple and we got caught on sand banks a few times. But it was lovely having no kids or responsibilities for 5 days.
