How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

What the?? I have heard this tongue twister ever since I was a child but have just realised that I do not know the answer??? Is there an answer? Or is it one of those rhetorical questions like "How many angels can fit on a pin head?" Maybe there is some mathemetaical genius out there who can actually come up with some sort of algorithm to work this out? (and no I do not know the weight and age of the woodchuck nor if it is a hard or soft wood he is chucking)
