Are we all doomed to get cancer?

Once I heard on the news, a doctor say that if we all lived long enough, we'd develop cancer of some sort, eventually. What do you think? We live in a toxic world, we eat toxic food, breathe toxic air.. nobody is truly immune. Some are lucky to go into remission, but the majority are not. And there's no cure for cancer. Despite all the funding for research, still nothing. We're losing people we love, left and right. And there is constant debate on what foods we eat, as to whether or not they're going to cause cancer or help us avoid it. I don't think anybody really knows.

i thnik that he is right because we live in a world full of toxic and harmfull things for our health so whatever you do you cant protect yourself from some thing. So it is a game of luck if you are going or not to have cancer problems in your life.

Yes, a game of "bad" luck, really. It's really a crap shoot.

during olden times cancer was a taboo..but now due to modern /high technicality on med/everything(aspects)people easily got sick..we really cant predict what instore for us during ourlifespan...but the best we could do is not to panic on those things...we all die no what or where we are ..its just the manner on how i think...so stop worrying about that and live life to the fullest..just be fit and eat moderately...and be happy with our respective families...

There is definitely enough toxins in the world that we could all get cancer. That being said, I think there are also steps we can take. It's hard work, really, to avoid all the 'conveniences' that can cause cancer, but I think it's worth it in the end. Moving away from toxic cleanres in the home is a HUGE first step, then moving away rfom toxins in food. They are expensive changes to make - but so is getting Cancer. I don't think we are doomed, per say, but that we have to pen our eyes a LOT wider. So much that is supposedly 'safe' is really not.
