Do you ever allow your children to play games/learn online. What are some of the websites that your child uses and would you say that they are useful or just a complete waste of time? Please give a brief description of what the website(s) are all about (include links too please). Also, what age group do you think the website would apply to?

shean, let the children know just about technology growth but not a link to various sites.Even after so many of years of spending on net we arent still aware what is useful to us(hope i am right),will the children will get the feel of usefulthings at early stages?I THINK THE RIGHT AGE FOR ACCESS TO WEB IS 12 OR MORE.

Find ELMO at CTW - Children's Television Workshop
My kids learned use the internet when they were literally babies! We surfed together at age 1 1/2, using such great sites as Disney.com, pbs.org, ctw.org and so many more! All great for toddler aged children! Teaching your kids how to use a computer at a young age is a definite must in today's society and being with them online also gives you some time to enjoy them and what they like.

Rarely do my children ask to use the computer let alone get online. Once in a blue moon I will allow my son to play pop it online...its a senseless game but he gets a kick out of it once in a blue moon. Otherwise no internet for the kids here....they just aren't interested.

My daughter is only five months, so I haven't let her just yet. And I don't know any fun, educational websites for children either.
