God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh.

* If you list jesus in your "Who I'd Like to Meet" or "Heroes" section, you will get denied. The above statement is something that you'll find on my profile page along with a list of other things that I have on my "automatic denial" list. Out of everything that is on my profile, this is one of the major things that sparks notice from people, after my statement of not accepting compliments well. Most of the time the questioning comes in a very polite form. People want to know why I would be exclusionary of those who choose to believe in jesus. They might explain to me why they have jesus listed on their profile or say that they know I would never accept their friend request because of that fact. Point is, most of the people who take the time to write to me about it are open to discussion about it. Then again, I sometimes get incomprehensible s*it like this:"you dumb fckng btch.i happen to believe in jesus amd your retarded for noyt believeningg in him.YOUR DAUGHTER IS UGLY AS ANYTHING.you are goin to hell u ho so have a funn time with SATAN!you r atheist?well fuc that.it proves your too scared to face god.wow.and you sit on your asz writing gayyy blogs that SUCK no1 reads them so y dont u just delete your blog u dumbfck"Yeah, I don't even want to really address the letter, I just wanted to provide it for everyone to have a good laugh at. Back to the topic at hand. Why is it there? Well, I get a good deal of recognition from random strangers because of the blog rankings. People want to know who this random chick is, the one who has so many comments, who is cocky enough to claim she's "Awesome" and she's not even "famous." So they scan my profile. Some even read the entire thing and can quote stuff back to me. It's neat to see that there are still people out there who have an attention to detail. I put it in there because I was receiving a bunch of friend requests from people who were requesting me randomly. They would have overtly religious profiles which proved that they didn't read my profanity laced diatribes to bl*w j*bs. If I just accepted everyone like that, my hate mail would be at least twice what it is now. I was attempting to weed out some of the wackos. I don't think that everyone who chooses to believe in jesus or god is a nut, but there are enough bad apples out there to spoil the entire bunch of you who do. And while these people put a sour taste in my mouth, I am still respectful of what people choose to believe. I only ask for the same in return. That being, I am an atheist. I don't see jesus or god as anything more than a glorified fairytale. I find Greek and Roman mythology more entertaining if I'm going to be intrigued by anything like that. I could argue my position until I'm blue in the face, but that's not the point of this post. My point is that I don't put faith in them. And I expect to be treated respectfully for not doing so as I treat those who believe with respect. I don't post "blasphemous" cartoons or jokes. I don't try to incite people in religious debates. It's one of those topics that can never have a winning side. People will adhere to whatever they choose to and while they might be able to "agree to disagree" they will never quite see the other side's perspective. There's nothing wrong with that. I can get along with people who are religious (or spiritual, whichever you would like to call it) because I am open minded to the fact that different people need different things in their lives. That said, could I ever seriously date or marry a person who had strongly opposing views on these subjects? No. Do I think that JW's are weird for not celebrating birthdays? Of course. And don't get me started on the "Hell Houses" that will be popping up in the next couple of weeks. Oy. Being that Myspazz is a social network should I be forced to be social with every wahoo who sends me a friend request? I find it far more deplorable for people to not accept a friend request because they think a person is "ugly" than if they just don't want to end up in a head against a brick wall debate over abortion rights. (Yes, I delete almost every one of you fu*kers who post those bullshit bulletins with the bloody fetuses. Fu*king sheep.) I like to know who I need to weed out. The zealots, be they of a religious variety or a bullying, two-faced, mob-mentality variety, can kiss my a*s. That's the point of the list of things that will earn you an automatic denial. I don't HAVE to be friendly with you just because I'm on here and you easily found my profile. I I don't HAVE to say nice things to avoid getting bullshit e-mails from people who think that I shouldn't say "mean" things. Remember... I didn't go looking for you. You came and found me. Got a problem with that? Take it up with your jesus. I heard he's sympathetic in the crusade against "dumb fckng btch"s.

Hello, I really have no Idea why I wandered into this discusion, but I must admit it was a beauty of a read. Your right though fazly, you dont have to accept peoples freindships simple because there offered. I personally would like to know somebody a little before accepting their freinship. (even on here). If i find someone like yourself who is interesting then I will check out a few of their other posts, (hell, make em an insignificant bit of money while I am there too) and pretty much get a feel for the person before requesting friendship. I pretty much expect them to do the same before accepting it. I thought I was the only one left on here who still felt friends were someone you liked, not someone you met once. That being said, I'm off to check out some of your posts, your an interesting one indeed.

I'll put this reply under mine because I dont want to run the risk of diecting this comment at only one person, and I dont want to be called a spamer for posting it under several replies. But am I the only one who didnt see this as poison? I saw absolutely nothing wrong with what she has written. Dos that make me the odd man out?

All I can say is.... WOW. I have to read your blog. I can't believe someone who "worships Jesus" or any other religion could send you an email or comment or whatever like that. That's just wild. I believe in a higher power myself, but I find that religion is a joke but more importantly I respect other peoples opinion no matter whether they agree with me or not. You are very interesting... just by reading this discussion I've determined that. I haven't seen your profile or blog yet, but I'm going to check it all out. Keep up the good work!

I think thats an excellent explanation for religion. Heaven is a selfish conclusion to religion. If I had to sit in heaven forever, well knowing that millions of people were suffering, and i couldnt do anything about it, that would be hell for me. Jesus is like Zeus and dionysus. The bible is first century symbolic literature, and people have no right to push it on other people. U seem like youv gotten yourself in pretty deep with these bible belt ppl, I just ask that you dont give in to them, and dont become like them, if you know what I mean. Cheers

You're an interesting person. Too bad I'm afraid of offending you and thus, being completely ignored by you or starting a pointless conflict. I will point out that you say you hate these judgmental zealots, and are quite in fact, judgmental in your retort. That's the nature of things, I suppose, we all do that. So, why would hate someone who wants to meet Yeshua? I'd like to meet him. He was a real man, and a wise one at that. Does that mean I'm a Bible bumper. NO, that book is too flawed for any student of history or natural science. But, I just ask you, because I think underneath all of your rhetoric, that you're a very cool person. Don't be hating those, whom you say hate you--don't treat others the way you hate to be treated. The only way, to be remotely better than someone else, is to treat them better than they treat you--or you're simply sinking to their level. Obviously, you and I could never see eye to eye. Nonetheless, I wish you the best, and I hope you find some inner peace. Peace out.
