Do you have a favorite tradition from childhood or that you have started as an adult with your children?

In Goa,India we have a tradition of making a star and putting it out on the front porch. this star could me made out of anything you could think of paper, ice cream sticks,straw etc This symbolizes the star the wise men followed to reach to the crib of baby Jesus. Below the star is a small miniature crib to commemorate the events that took place on the day Christ was born. The crib has miniature statuettes of Mary,Joseph, The shepherd,the wise men.
