Well we just finished Christmas morning opening gifts and right now the cats are all a bit stoned from the cat nip mice we gave them. I was curious if anyone else gave gifts to their pets and if so what? We also got our cats normal treats, our dog basted bones and a new tug of war rope and our rabbit some special carrot treats.

Oh I bet that she liked that ham bone. I know ours would. Some of our cats like the treats others don't. I guess they are like us and can be very picky about what they eat.

Some years we do and some we don't. This year we didn't. I was too busy trying to get all the human gifts and my job is at it's busiest this time of year. I have two cats and they usually don't like the cat toys we buy anyway. They perfer the rings off of milk jugs.

I know how that goes. We try to but some years it's tight on money. We lucked out and found some cat nip mice for 88 cents for 2 of them. So we were able to pick up a couple of those but I know the one year the only ones we could find were $3.50 for one. Cats didn't get cat nip that year. We got them some plastic balls. Isn't it amazing how they love the things that aren't toys. Mine love hair ties and caps to pop/water bottles. They go nuts for those.

Sounds good to me :) Glad I'm not the only one to pamper my pets that way. To me they are part of the family and they should be able to join in the celebration with us.

Absolutely! My cat is part of the family. He got some new foil balls to play with, a big box of treats, and a special Christmas morning breakfast ( I gave him what I usually give him for supper at breakfast). He's a very happy kitty now.

Awww sounds like he will be a happy kitty for a while. If that's him in the picture he's cute. Now if only kids could be satisfied with a bag of foil balls like that :)

I gave my cat a special Christmas dinner, I wanted to give her a collar but she won't wear one so I thought food is probably her only pleasure. :)

Yes I got my dogs something for christmas! My older dog Belle got a pretty pink rhinestone studded collar and an engraved dog tag with her name on it. My younger Dog, Molley (who isa bit of a tomboy dog, if you ask me) god a red studded collar (which looks so incredibly cute, as she is so much smaller and, well, cuter, than belle) and a dog tag with her name on it. They also got a chewy bone each.

They sound adorable. Chew bone is always nice for a dog to get. I know ours likes to get one. She gets very excited about them actually.

I used to give my cat a treat things like special biscuits. Toys. Once I bought him a stocking espescially for cats pets are a big part of a family so yes I think it is right to buy your pet a treat and so what if anyone else thinks you nuts its your pet and your money to spend on who you want. I think its a great idea to buy your pet a Christmas gift after all they give you so much love all year round.

They do give us a lot of love and attention. I know mine do. I've seen the stockings like that. I think we got one once too but it was a while ago. This year we saw something new, it's a rawhide postcard that you can send to a dog. They can then chew it after it's been mailed. I thought it was cute. Didn't buy it because we didn't have anyone to send it to but that was different.

I've haven't had my pet long at the moment so not had her during christmas time, but i would/will buy her a small gift next christmas, maybe a tin of tuna or something as a treat, just becuase she is part of the family and deserves to be included in things!
