Hi Frns! I am in immediate need of an 4-in-1 (Printer,Scanner,Photocopier,Fax) office automation device. Which one should I prefer? A Lazerjet device or an Inkjet device... please advice based on lower running cost, ie, whether the running cost of a Lazerjet device will be low or that of an Inkjet device? Please advice! Thanks in advance!

Lazer printer is better for the long run. I've read somewhere that a hp ink costs more than the same amount of blood.

laserjet printers are expensive to buy but their toners last long. inkjet printers on the other hand, are the opposite they cost less but their inks cost a lot. you should probably based your choice on the use. if you are going to use it for paper works and documents. i suggest you buy laserjet. but if you need quality prints having different kinds of colors just like in photographs i suggest you buy inkjet.

whoa dude no matter what get a laser printer do not buy an inkjet i had it its a piece of crap although the printer itslef was a good 1 but the problem of cartridge blocking .....if u dont use it for a week or so or just leave it empty for a while then the cartridges are jammed the nozzles get blocked and ultimately ur cartidges get useless n new cartridges cost nearly as much as a new printer & every time u refil the quality goes down so i strongly suggest u to get a laser printer

wow that is a tough one as I have had both a lazer printera nd an ink jet printer, I like the laser printer as it gives wonderful texting ability and no need to constantly put in new ink cartridges, but the cost for a color ink jet printer is a lot less, and to buy a color lazer printer is more expensive for me so I opted for the inkjet and I just change the colors often..but it was a lot cheaper to get. however the laser printer I had was just as cost effective in that I think I never even used all the laser cartridge to have to change it even once in the 8 years that I owned it!! so it is really on what is it that you need from yur printer, if you have to use colors from time to time, I would say get an inkject but if not then I would say get a laser

If you're printing alot of black and white copy and don't need color, go with a laserprinter. The laser printer costs more and the toner cartridge costs more, but lasts much longer and the quality is excellent. An inkjet printer is the way to go if you're printing alot of color. The price of the inkjet printer will be less, but cartridges will cost more. One advantage to inkjet cartridges is you can refill them. In our experience, one or two refills was all we could do, then the print heads on the cartridge would get plugged up. We've been happy with our Samsung laser printer. For inkjet printing, I really like Lexmark. You can save money by buying remanufactured cartridges for either type printer, plus it helps save the environment. Hope this helps!

Always go for LASERJET printers, if budget is not a constraint for you. The quality that you get in LASER printing is unmatched....... but, it's costlier than INKJET... But, to gain something, you need to loose something --- isn't it ??? Also, remember, quality never comes cheap.......

I think laserjet printers are costly but cheaper in long term maintainance and also provides better printing results with efficient time Whereas inkjets are cheaper in buying and cheaper or higher in long term based on which company you are relying. But one drawback is that the printing quality and the time mangement is poorer than Laserjets.. So it all depends on your budgets which you want to spend in the maintainance of the printer yearly..

running costs vary greatly with inkjets, a lot of Internet sites have very good deals for inkjet, I've got an Epson and sometime able to get ink cartridges for under £1 each, Epson charges around £25 each for the same ink, although the price has gone up to £2.99 (or £1.99 each if I buy 5 of each. I don't know about Laser printers, but check the price of ink or laser cartridges before you buy. Try www.e-inkjet.co.uk to see if they deliver to your country. There are a lot of other companies out there as well. Quite often these cartridges are made to a higher ink specification than that used by the OEM.

Since you are using it in the office, i recommend lazerjet printer for the toner last for long time. For a lazerjet printer, i recommend you hp 4-in-1 printer.

Color inkjet printers have been fixtures in most small businesses for many years. They're cheap.Last a couple of years and everybody uses them. So they must be the perfect office tools. When you do the math on printing, inkjets may well cost you a whole lot more than you realize. In comparison to ink jets, laser printers are quieter, faster and remarkably hassle free. But it's the math that makes them stand out. For small amounts of color printing it's much cheaper to use an inkjet.

i would suggest u to buy Canon products they are cheap and of good quality this is the product which gives value for money , most of the suggest to buy Hp products but the problem with Hp is that the ink cartages are expensive compared to all the other companies

It depends on your choice, for me better have both of them. in order when i have to work in any purpose i can choose the apropriate printer. The price's not so important for me because it's about the result of my job. try to think about HP product and Cannon or Epson's

All I can say is that take a look if you are going to use your printer all day and will be working like a horse. Because if you will be printing all day i recomend a lazer printer it is economical. But if you are going to print once a day it is ok to use a inkjet printer. and also take a good look on your financial capabilities. I hope that I have help you.
