Weight,size,speed,battery life.

consider small size so you can carry around in convenience. also consider price and performance. brand too.

For me its the brand that plays the most important part. Then the price as it will have to be within my budget. The last things are some fetures-like I was looking for a wide screen laptop as I am into a Design field.
