Why do you think ps3 is better than xbox 360??

Playstation 3 is a complete entertainment system .. its sure more powerful than xbox 360 on papers .. but i agree that the games now released don't take full potential of the system .. once this happens that is by mid 2007 when more games which truly uses its potential like killzone, metal gear solid etc come out xbox 360 will be outclassed in every way .. even in the online services dept which the xbox boasts so much with its Live! is also coming to ps3 and its free unlike Live! One of the greatest advantages of ps3 has upto 60Gb HDD and built in wifi which when coupled with a Linux OS can produce wonderful results .. yes Sony PS3 supports multi os that is it allows to install linux on it .. linux will allow ur ps3 to do all that ur pc can .. its like having a supercomputer at ur home .. linux allows u to play all da multimedia files HD divx movies .. browsing net on ur big LCD tv .. of course u got to get a keyboard and mouse which can be conveniently connected to the ps3 usb slot .. with the power of open source os on its side PS3 is an unstoppable winner .. one more thing is HDMI which xbox lacks .. without HDMI xbox 360 wont be able to handle HD movie for too long ... go buy yourself a ps3!!

Thank you for your input. I am a long time lover of video games. I own both an xbox and a ps2 and have been trying to decide which system I should purchase, ps3 or 360. It sounds to me like I'm going to go out and get myself a ps3.

Its a nice competition . Playstation 2 was a great success when compared to
Xbox. But Xbox 360 is something different. Both are on par with each other
One has sharper graphics whereas the other has a better lighting. Its gonna be a great contest

Xbox is more more powerful that the ps3!..The xbox offers better graphics, and pixels, and it's more advance than the other!...it is more expensive!...

XBOX 360 is not as powerful as PS3 is. Sure PS3 is more difficult to write games for but ps3 surpasses xbox 360 in all departments. Its price is well worth its features. If you are gonna buy these features to the xbox 360 as an add on then it will cost more than the ps3

I had bought x box 360 and i am more than happy with its performance.i havent tried out ps3 but i believe that x box 360 would prove to be better.

i cant totaly agree with that .. very few gamers are found to be faithful followers of sony or microsoft .. what do you think abt a general gamers point of view??

I think PS3 is better than XBOX 360 in terms of the features it provides.The PS3 has better future upgrade compatibility with HD DVD.It also has a better graphis processing unit than XBOX and the game choice in the PS3 console is far better than XBOX.As PS3 has make a provision to be compatible with earlier games of other play sytation console so one has a huge choice in terms of gaming.
But when comparing the prices of both the console PS3 is very very costlier than XBOX ..

the cost will come down after the initial rush .. almost all ps2 titles are compatible with ps3 some with help of a few patch files freely available for download

Each system has it's good things and it's bad things.....The PS3 has the best graphics,hands down, the other system don't come close. Also, you can play all of your PS2 games on here...that gives you a universe of games. BUT the PS3 is super expensive and the grapics will not be as good if you don't have a HDTV. 360 is pretty good, a decent price, good graphics and ok games, but nothing really spectacular here. Wii, is something new and really cool, not too expensive either, but it needs SOO much better games to compare to PS3 and 360.--------So, go for the PS3 for the best, go for the Wii for the cheapest, and the 360 for good quality.

thats a very good view .. wii is definitely has good value for money .. its for those who dont like spending much for playing games .. ps3 and xbox 360 look good only for HDTV owners .. ps3 is also considerably cheap when we look its as bluray dvd player

lol man everyone knows xbox360 is better then the ps3. Better games are made for the xbox like halo and gears of war. And xbox live is the best. You dont have to pay for xbox live silver just gold. With silevr you can send message to your friends check there stats download game demos and everything. Plus the xbox360 is winning in sales. Even the nintendo Wii is beating the ps3 in sales. The Ps3 is trieing to be to much of a computer. Go here www.nexgenwars.com it has all the stats of howmuch consoles have been sold of the xbox 360 ps3 and Wii. And some of things you say like "the xbox 360 wont be able to handle HD movies for too long" thats wrong. microsoft have designed the xbox 360 to mainly play HD games movies and songs. They recommend to play HD movies,songs,games on the xbox also they also recommend to hook your xbox360 up to a HD tv. When you get the xbox it has a cord to plug-in to your tv and it says flick the switch one way for HD tv or switch other way for normal tv. I would either go out and buy a xbox360 or a nentindo Wii becuase those to consoles are winning at the moment and you will findthey will have more games out then the ps3. The xbox 360 has sold 8 and a half million more consoles then ps3 and Wii has sold more then a million consoles then the ps3.

i think its too early to think xbox 360 is better than playstation 3 based on the number of console sales .. ps3 is just been launched and there is ps3 console shortage everywhere .. we can analyse the sales only by mid 2007 when the supply of console becomes stable .. there r more ps2 in homes than anyother console and there is more dedicated titles in ps2 than any other console which will be coming to ps3 in a better form .. some examples are devil may cry 4, gran turismo HD, killzone, motorstorm etc few .. and abt the HD .. HDMI is the future of high definition signal .. the film companies are starting to put a image constraint token in the HD BluRay discs ,HDDVDs and HD video files ..When this flag is set to “on”, a 1080p (high def signal) signal will be downgraded from its original 1920x1080 resolution to 960x540, which means that the image has been reduced to a quarter of its resolution. That way, an HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc player will output the high-definition video at a lower resolution, making irrelevant the benefit provided by a high-definition movie player ... so this ICT token will come into play with devices not having HDMI .. that is xbox 360 .. so furture HDDVDs will start playng in normal resolution rather than HD .. thats what i meant by "the xbox 360 wont be able to handle HD movies for too long" .. also blueray discs (ps3 format) can store more data than HDDVD which the xbox 360 format .. also one more thing XBOX360 was made with only one thing in mind playing games .. abt ps3 i told u its a complete entertainment package ... u need to buy a addon drive in case of xbox to play HDDVD movies .. ps3 is the best acording to me

its too early to tell...i will make conclusion next year maybe
the games are still few and far between
no killer titles or games yet
and prices are still very expensive
not worth it in my opinion

i agree with you .. in games point of view the xbox is better than ps3 .. but when the console selling titles get released i am sure ps3 will take an upperhand

I think that the Xbox is excellent, but playstation 3 was launched currently. Or either, it has the best and new resources of graficos that exist currently, however I think that the Xbox is of a wonderful and surprising mark. Therefore I am very confused.

well things change with time...no doubts that p3 is the best but xbox 360 is the better......the games here r really very exciting n quick.....so i thing xbox 360 rocks!!!!
