hi there! i gave birth six months ago and like you before i got pregnant i could eat like a heck and never get fat, luckily i still maintained my weight except for this blubber in my waist, my hubby told me to always wear a binder(which is very uncomfortable specially when your eating)and jump rope. I don't know ifiit works bec i havnt been doing it.how long have you been doing your exercise anyway? Maybe you just need to give it more time.as for me, i'm too lazy to exercise that just a couple of months ago i tried eating less and it did work i lost my fat belly but everyone said i was so pale i looked like a cadaver, so i went back to my normal diet. why don't you try to go to a gym? everyone i know who goes there got good results.

I had a baby 7 months ago so I totally know what you mean. I've lost a lot of my weight although I'd like to lose a little bit more. I've tried to watch what I eat, drink lots of water, walk and do crunches. I think that helps.

'Baby Fat' is especially hard to lose..It's only been 18 months since you've given birth (I know it seems like forever!) so you may have to just give it more time..Through exercise and watching your diet, hopefully it will start to pay off for you soon. Have you talked with your Doctor about your difficulties with the post-pregnancy weight loss? Maybe he/she may have some good suggestions or answers as to why or what you could be doing different..Pregnancy changes almost everything in your body to some extent, and even running some tests -such as ones on your Thyroid, gestational to postpartum diabetes, etc, may find another reason behind why the weight isn't coming off..Believe me when I say you are not alone, and considering how far your belly stretches during pregnancy, the 'pot belly' you are left with after having a baby is very common..After I lost the post-pregnancy weight, even after my stomach finally reached my pre-pregnancy size, I was left with alot of loose skin there for quite some time! Hang in there and keep up the good work, and see your Doctor regarding these issues if you don't see any weight loss eventually~ Good luck to you, and don't be too sad, as you are far from alone here!

The disappointing thing about losing weight through diet alone is, alot of times you will lose weight in certain areas of your body, and not in the areas you're hoping to lose.. Try exercising the parts of your body where the excess weight is that you want to lose..If it is your belly, try doing sit-ups, etc.. And if you decide upon going to the gym, if you can afford it financially, get a personal trainer to help you out.. The YMCA is a great place, since they usually offer babysitting as well..and they have swimming programs that can even include your child in as well~

I weighed about 115 before my son, 143 at the end of my pregnancy with him. 3 months later I was pregnant again & started that pregnancy @ 125, I went down to 110, but I had hyperemesis. Then 3 months later I was pregnant yet again. After the birth of my second baby I hit an astonishing 99 pounds! But I got my weight stable & healthy at 105 before getting pregnant again. I'm about 8 weeks right now. My weight loss was due to high stress, lack of sleep & pushing myself to "do it all". Unfortunately weight loss does not always mean, toned, sexy abs. I was still working on that 3 months post-partum (but it all looked a lot better than immediately post-partum.

We had been using birth control all 3 times. And we thought we were done after #2, simply because she has so much going on with her. But when that pregnancy test came back positive we knew we would love this baby just like our other 2. :)

Once we have children our bodies change, our metabolism changes and the general shape of our bodies changes. Just think about how your body had to streach for the baby. Our hips spread and bones do not shrink back. So our bodies will never look the same as they were pre children but they can be in shape and exercise, for a belly what usually happens is the left over skin from the growing of our bodies is left so sit ups, stomach crunches those types of exercises will help to get rid of the tummy not just running. We have to look at ourselves and realize what we were before kids is not our "normal" size it was just the size of us before kids, as long as your healthy and not over weight there is a point after kids when we have to accept that visually our shape has changed.

Its really a problem for women to get back to their original body size after giving birth. My wife has the same problem but she doesn't mind it. My advice for you is just continue your exercise habits (try to shed more sweat if you can) and cut off on sweets and carbs. Just be patient and don't feel depressed about it. Just focus your attention on your daughter.

I don't think weight is an issue for you rather the "leftover" from your tummy being stretched during your pregnancy. Try doing sit-ups daily for about 20 minutes (approximately 20-30 sit-ups). Meanwhile, do keep a sensible diet and continue to do your daily exercise regime such as walking up the stairs (I do that whenever I get a chance instead of using the elvator). Avoid fatty and spicy stuffs.

sometimes our metabolism slows down after birth and most of the weight u still carry is most likely water gain. with my second son, it took me close to 4 years to lose my little "pouch" and i didnt excersice at all. now after my 6 month old, i still have this belly like im 2-3 mths preg but i know in time it will go away, it just takes longer with each kid you have. keep walking and do crunches if you can : )

hi, Lot of people put on a lot of weight after having a baby. Some people tend to lose if they are lucky. There can be many reasons for not losing weight. First thing early in the morning drink a glass of warm water mixed with 1 tsp of honey and 1 tsp of lime juice. Don't give up. It will take atleast a month to show result. It will be gradually. It will surely help you in weight loss. Next thing, avoid rice. Eating food rich in carbohydrates like rice. Shift to low calorie food that is rich in protein. Drink lots of water atleast 8 glasses. Water flushes out the impurities in the body and helps regulate your bowel movement. Eat lot of fresh salads as snacks. eat vegetables and fruits that has maximum water content. Try to walk for atleast 30 min daily REGULARLY. Make it a routine. Avoid too much sugar in tea or coffee. Cut to half of what you are currently consuming. Normally mothers tend to eat what is left over after the baby is fed. So stop that. Do some mild excercises atleast 10 min every day. Last but not the least be active, play with your baby and happy .

Your body changes after a pregnancy and some women are never as thin after a pregnancy as they were before. Some toning with weights may be the answer but it may not work. It's hard to knwo. Just eat healthy foods and have a healthy lifestyle and a little extra weight should not be an issue.

well we are woman and this is a good thing....how old are is one thing...it is hard it is easy to put the weight on but to take it off is harder...i found out if you have a partner to walk with you and someone to share your weight problems it helps. you have to stop drinking pop eating breads no candy's and then this other thing i do and it works go get yourself a cleanse don't do it all the time just do it once a month . eat right if you can eat your veggies and fruit.. and get some relcore for the fat cells in the body it works and then you need zanrex both these together work great take them it lifts you and keeps you clam i leaned this from my health care provider....he told me to combine the tow and it seems to work so just try to focus and not eating the things that will cause you to gain weight...like bread candy pop chips all the things that are fun but not no hot dogs if you eat make sure you eat the things that are easy to digest and do a cleanse once a month....

For me discipline is the number one thing you should have in order to loose some weight. You should take small meals evry after 3-4 hours instead of eating only once or twice a day but with a large amount of food. It was said that eating small amounts of food increase the metabolism and let your stomach digest the food properly compare when you eat large amount of food then afterwards wont eat anymore. Drinking lots of water will also help you shed some pounds drink more than the usual eight glasses of water. avoid sweet and salty foods of course and junk foods also. Also avoid eating too much fast food products they have lot of additives, preservatives and chemicals that is not good for our body. Eat lot of fruits and vegtables instead of meat but I don't mean that you are prohibited to eat meat, just lessen the amount of meat intake and choose lean meats that is better for your health. Get enough sleep to improve your system don't stay late because it lessen your metabolism. Drink tea if possible even those regular teas and not the slimming teas because it help the digestion of food in our stomach. And exercise of course. Some stretching and breathing exercise is better then lifting weights or something extensive like that. Well hope you shed off those stubborn fats and get back your desired figure. good Luck.

Well believeit or not, Ihad four kids. One thing I did was did activities that I like. I swim. I did ALOT of sit ups and crunches. I use to thnk it was boring until I invested in the "Ab lounger" It is a whole lot better than doing those traditional sit-ups. It helps alot if you had one of your girlfriends go sit with you in a sauna. Have a girl talk or something while working out at the gym. There are programs at Fitness Centers you can participate in.
