Would you confront someone?

I was just watching the ABC Special "Basic Instincts." So I was wondering, what would you do? Would you confront a total stranger that seemed to be extremely drunk trying to get into their vehicle?
Would you step between a man and woman when the man is obviously abusive? What if it were a woman who were hitting her man? Would you confront him/her?
What about the cashier at Wal-Mart. She accidentally gives you an extra $10. Do you give it back or keep walking?

I'm not sure how much I'd get involved. With the drunk person, I think I would because he could be a danger to other people. As for the domestic violence situation, I think I would just stay out of it and call the police.
I don't think I could keep an extra 10 bucks, I would feel way too guilty.
