Usually Xtra, but I prefer Purex, which is what I am using right now. I love Gain Apple Mango Tango though! It leaves my clothes smelling sooo good! LOL But Purex is best for my skin. There are only a handful of brands that I can use.

Mine does that too. He dyed his own underwear pink once! I never laughed so hard in my life. It was worth the shirt of mine he ruined. He is only allowed to do jeans and towels now.

I use the big 5 gal. bucket from Sam's Club. I am one of those men that shops and looks for the values. Then I let my GF buy the softener, she likes to have me smelling a cetain way so that other women know there is a woman around.

Well Sailor, I have to say that you have a VERY SMART GF! Tell her that too! I don't go shopping at Sam's too much though, I think the only reason I don't go there is cause then I tend to spend toooooo much....I start buying things that are just like "hmmm that looks good" ya know, that kinda stuff....Then when I get home and hubby unloads car, he says "Hey Hun, I think you drove the wrong car home" then I know he isn't very happy with how much I spent...It really is pretty funny though...LOL

I have been using the Tide with a touch of Downy it actually saves on having to buy fabric softner and detergent and it leaves your clothes smelling really good and also leaves them soft.

I like Tide too, but I am not sure that the fabric softner in it really works like U adding softner to the wash...So I am going to stick with adding my own softner, I guess that is just what I am used to...

On everything. I figured since my baby rubs his face on all of us and uses different blankets that it was just easier. Plus I love the smell!

Santa - Sant uses detergent to get the soot out of his suit after a hard night's work
I use what ever laundry detergent is cheapest and I get it at one of the dollar stores. I find they all work about the same. I also use dish detegent on stains as a presoak. Did you know that dish detergent makes water. It doesn’t make sense but it works. I really think thses soaps are pretty much the same

You have used dish soap in your Washer? I don't know how that is possible...I would think that it would be way to sudsy, and over flow with suds. How in the world does dish soap make WATER? I am CONFUSSED! LOL

I prefer Surf Excel for my clothes to look more beautiful and for everybody's surprise it will remove all the stains and adds more shining. But a great secret add bleaching powder or facial powder along with any detergent and see the difference soak it atleast for half an hour or overnight wash it with hand or using washing machine the dresses will be really good. Experienced people know more than us and my mother-in-law and my maid servant who have not studied anything gave these useful directions and I felt that it was very useful.
