You are kidding right? The equipment is getting so anyone can drive the ball 250 with the right mechanics and it is not going to be so much a power game in the future as it is going to be a thinking man's game. Remember Tiger's father was a colonial in the army and taught Tiger as if he was one of his cadets... Tiger has nerves of steel and that will take him well into his older years.

He made more than twice his nearest competitor (Mickelson) last year when you add endorsements and winnings. He is getting so close to Jack's record that I think he can make it. The new PGA format would have ranked him #1 if you used that as a guide for how everyone played last year. He is getting older and getting smarter... and his driving is just as long. We have seen with John Daly, Bubba Watson, and others that it takes more than a big club to be #1... Vijay and Phil showed Tiger he was human and I don't think Tiger liked it all that much. On the down side... Tiger is married now. He has other passions than just golf and I do hope he can keep his focus to be the best there ever was.

In 2007? Most probably. If you consider the competition, most experts opine that the old guard (Mickelson, Singh, Goosen, Els) does not have the physical and mental conditioning to compete with Woods in a sustained basis. The same experts are looking the Golf's Young Turks (Ogilvey, Holmes, Scott etc...) that have length and conditioning that may give Tiger some competition in the years to come. For now, I would dare say Tiger will rule the golf scene for the next 2 years minimum.

As of now, Tiger Woods is 30 years old but here is the record for the man. 12 professional major golf championships and more wins on the PGA Tour than any other active golfer. Clearly, age has not slowed him down. Let's examine his fundamentals. He is known for his long-driving but despite his power advantage, Woods has always focused on developing an excellent all-around game. He has accurate iron play and excellent recovery and bunker play. His putting (especially under pressure) is possibly his greatest asset. He is also known for putting in long hours of practice and spend time familiarising himself with the battleground. With two major slumps in his career, he has shown a remarkable ability to bounce back each time and in more devastating form than before. So, to cut it short, I seriously see no reason why he cannot continue to dominate for another 10 years.
