is talent learned or genetically acquired?

each person has his own talents. but others, for some reason, excell in some aspects. they have a way of doing things outstandingly. is talent inherited genetically or can just be acquired through exposure in the right environment? please do share your thoughts on this one.

Everyone acquire talent by birth. he/she can grow his/her talent more by efforts. The important thing is that the person should have the confiance on him.

Talents are somewhat genetic....but i think it mainly depends upon your personality.....
Like i'm sort of talented in making graphics and programing but that cant be genetic as during my parents time computers dint exist !!

I think it depends on the talent. I think certain things like intelligence for example, are genetically determined. But how much you know (how you use the intelligence), is learned.
Some things may even be a combination. Like maybe a person is genetically geared toward being a good musician. But still, you need to practice and learn and the music. You aren't just born knowing it.
