Are you a vegetarian? Would you cook meat for your friends?

When I lived at home we were vegetarian for many years until my dad wanted a bacon sandwich one day, after that things were a bit more relaxed but my family do not eat much meat. I would be happy to cook for a vegetarian or even a vegan like my cousin, it would mean the carnivours would get to put new ideas with their meat too.

I can't imagine any of my friends expecting to get meat at my house, they respect my beliefs that killing animals for our use is wrong - and they in turn serve me something without meat at their house.
They always look forward to something interesting at my house and enjoy making meatless meals for me!
Can't imagine compromising my beliefs in such a situation.

I did go through a short spell of being a vegetarian, which lasted a couple of years but I guess I missed meat too much. I don't actually cook, and do not have friends round for dinner, my housemate does and we don't have anyone who is a vegetarian. However for me it's the other way round to your question. My friend is a vegetarian and whenever I go and stay with him I HAVE to have what he eats, he refuses point blank to buy or cook any meat for me. But I would accommodate him if he ever stayed. Needless to say I don't stay at his place very often!

Yes, I am a vegetarian. My wife isn't so I'm used to cooking meat as well - though I'd rather not. She'll be converted one day!
