Jaw pain with ear stuffiness

I have had a cold for about 1 week now and with it, I have been having jaw pain when I open my mouth and ear stuffiness. Has anyone else ever experienced this? My lymph node is also swollen by my left ear. I am trying to decide whether to go to the doctor or stick it out a couple more days. Thanks.

My family tends to have similar problems with swollen lymph glands. First question, is there any way it could be the mumps? If not, what I was told when my great neice lived with me was to take an antihistamine in the daytime only, not longer lasting than twelve hours. At night take ibuprofen, and guifensen ( mucinex, generic now available at Wal Mart) so that the infection will drain. If you do not get relief within a week, though I would see a doctor. If this is the first time you have had this problem, I would see the doctor. Feel better soon.

As long as you know what to do with it. take cake of youself, if it doen't get better yes, she a Doctor. I hope you feel better. Have a HBappy New Year. try not to bring in the New Year being sick. Take care.
