Hi Samimkardar! It's really difficult I think to be away from your 'homeland' for a long time, unable to go back for whatever reason. There are so many feelings that go with it I think. Loneliness, alienation, longing, anger, sadness, a feeling of 'not fitting in' to the new culture, a feeling of 'not belonging anywhere'. I think my main feeling in this situation has been one of denial - I've tried to just push the whole thing out of my mind and not think about it at all! Don't worry though - it does get MUCH better over time!

You are right many different feelings may arise at that situation. It may dipress you.... at that situaion I think you should keep yourself busy in different activities as like full time job etc.

Yes - it's definately good to keep busy. Also if you get a job or hobbies or whatever this can be a good way of meeting some people in your new country and therefore starting to feel more 'at home'.

well i left my home 3 years back for my studies. at that moment of time i felt very home sick. but then i made many freinds in my college and now they are like a family. i go home for aroung 3 months and rest of time in the college. the point is that we always try to find company around ourselves and with the passage of time adjust to the new situations.
