hi im putting this discussion up because i find alot of people help you and give you good answers, well they did for my recent discussion about losing weight after having children! anyway what i wanted to say is, when i was pregnant i had long hair now they say either when your pregnant or after pregnancy you tend to lose a lot of hair :O(, well i did after pregnancy and it just doesn't seem to grow back now, so is there any girls or mums out there been in this situation and know what suppluments or stuff to use to make your hair grow back quite quickly???? i would love to know how too because my hair is quite short now :O(

I also heard that it is possible for woman after gave birth to lose hair. They said it is normal and have not to worry what you have to do is just drink vitamins and eat nutritious foods.

my wife had long beautiful hair. after she gave birth to our daughter she started sheading like a cat. I tell her because she is catty in nature, but she doesn't think it is too funny. It has been several years after having our daughter and she still sheds. they say to get gelitin or zinc, but that doesn't work for her. hope you can find something

I don't think there's really anything you can do about this! Your hair overproduces during pregnancy and then starts to thin out about 6 months pp.

I had five children and my youngest is 2 and I'm STILL losing handfuls of hair!!! I have very long hair but it is very thin. If you want to grow your hair strong and quickly, I was always told that prenatal vitimans help alot!! Also, there are shampoos that help with hair growth for women at Walmart and such stores. Good Luck! If you find a "miracle" cure, please let me know! lol

Hair has a 5 year stage as to how fast it grows. You might be at the end of your stage were it is not growing all that much. Keep your hair health. Within the first 3 years I believe it grows about a quarter inch for evey 6 to 8 weeks. Use a multi vitamens. Many hair dressers don't tell you this. But if you do the research in any medical journal you can track your hair growth and help it along with there recommendations. Good luck

This is very interesting information I have never heard of this before I only had one child and didn't pay attention to my hair at the time. I don't even recall how long or short my hair was at the time. I now have long hair but am thinking of cutting it.

Hair does not fall out very much during pregnancy - even less than it would normally would. After pregnancy, a lot of hair will typically fall out.

my hair fell out like gangbusters after I had each of my three kids. It is trying to grow back, but not fast enough for me. It also got curlier after each kid. I used to have straight hair, even perms didn't take. Now I have to straighten it, and if I go to bed with it wet, I look like the wicked witch of the west when I get up! LOL

aww LOL, if you look like the wicked witch when your's is like that id hate to say what i looked like, id actually hate to think it lmao!! i have to blow dry mine and straighten it every day, mine gets frizzy and goes wild LOL.

I had some surgerys last year and when I was home recuperating when I would take a shower my hair was coming out in hand fulls. I though I was going to be bald. it finally stopped but there is nothing you can use to stop it. I found eating good well balanced meals and taking a good vitamin does wanders. My hair is so long right now. Im loving it. Best of luck to you.

The reason why you are losing hair afther pregnancy is that when you are pregnant some how you get more hair than normal. After pregnancy you will lose all your hair. I had the same problem as you did.

mansha you should try " sea kelp" there a vitamin and mineral tablet, the hairdresser recommended these to me but they don't seem to work for me, but maybe they will for you as another girl said they worked for her! also thanks people for taking your time to reply to me, i will now try other vitamin tablets and see how it goes, hopefully it should grow back and stop my hair from falling out!

Yes! I lost a great deal of hair after I had my daughter. My hair is just stabalizing now and she's 5 months old. Having a baby puts a hard strain on women. My immune system is not what is used to be because I keep catching her colds.
