If you could live in any period in history what would it be ... would you like to go back to the days of the Pharoahs in Egypt .. see the Pyramids being built .. or the days of the Vikings and all that rowing across oceans to pillage and loot ... how about to early man and foraging for food and dodging dinosaurs .. do you think you'd have a better life in a different era ??

What an interesting question, and one that involves crunching the grey matter. I think I would like to live like Robin Hood back in 1240, roaming Nottingham Forest and living in the forest, being totally free, free of taxes, I see myself as a wandering free spirit, living in the open and making bow and arrows for a living with no worries and not a single care in the world apart from defeating King John's men and supporting Richard and his crusades. I could be Will Scarlet, yeah that would be great, that would be the life I'd love to lead alright! Back to the tardis again me thinks!

I'm having a tougher time now LOL. I'm not keen on rabbit but I could always catch a stray chicken, knowing my luck I'd get caught by the sheriffs men and beheaded!

I've always thought that I would have loved to be a Pioneer in early america. I love the thought of being on horseback, plundering through a new world. Imagine that every task you had set before you on a daily basis was pretty much something that you had to do in order to stay alive and to sustain your family. I would love to live such a simple existence. To be able to hunt for food, grown your own vegetables and know how to put them up so that they would last through winter to feed your family. No going to a job or working a 40 hour work week to pay power bills and phone bills, rather buying coal to heat your home and what food stuffs you couldn't grow or raise yourself. I would love to know that I had experienced that.

You've picked another really tough time to move back to .. it must have been so hard especially if you had a family .. those pioneers were certainly made of sterner stuff than we 21st Century namby pamby people are .. There was a TV programme here in the UK a couple of years ago about a group of American folks who tried to live exactly the kind of life you describe .. they found it very hard .. especially the children .. I don't think many of the families stuck it for long
