The average distance from the Earth to the Sun is 93,000,000 miles. It takes light eight and a half minutes to travel from the Sun to the Earth. The diameter of the Sun is 870,000 miles, 109 times larger than the Earth's. Its volume is big enough to hold over 1 million Earths. DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN, EVEN WITH DARK OR SMOKED GLASSES. DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN WITH BINOCULARS OR SMALL TELESCOPES. YOU CAN DO IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO YOUR EYES!

60.7 percent of eligible voters participated in the 2004 presidential election, the highest percentage in 36 years. However, more than 78 million did not vote. This means President Bush won re-election by receiving votes from less than 31% of all eligible voters in the United States

An ant brain has about 250 000 brain cells. A human brain has 10,000 million so a colony of 40,000 ants has collectively the same size brain as a human. Ant brains are largest amongst insects. An ant's brain may have the same processing power as a Macintosh II computer.

I know many of them: 1 I fish known as a climbing fish can climb up a tree outside the water and it is usually found in America. 2 The total amount of salt in the world's oceans and seas would cover Europe to a depth of 5Km. 3 The largest flying animal ever to have excisted was Quetzalcothas,a flying reptile,it's wingspan measured about 12m that is wider than the wingspan of a hang glider 4 There are about 600 million bacteria in and on the human body. The skin of an armpit may be home to upto 800 bacteria per square millimetre (516000 per square inch). 5 The heart ejects 80ml of blood with every beat. 6 The normal growth of hair is 1/2 inch per month. 7 The longest year ever was 46 B.C., which lasted for 455 days.Lengthened by 90 days to bring it in line with the solar year,it became known as the "YEAR OF CONFUSION". 8 Our word "LOTION" comes from the latin word urine,"LOTIUM".Romans used stale urine because it prevented Dandruff and killed Lice.It was also used to help dye clothes. 9 An american farmer Charles Osborne (1894-1991) began hiccuping in 1922.He continued until 1990,after 68 years of constant Hiccups. 10 Octupuses are intelligent animals, and have the ability to learn. An octopus at London Zoo in Englandlearned how to twist the lid of a jar to reach the crab inside. All the above given information is true as taken from "TELL ME WHY" and "VISUAL ENCYCLOPEDIA" Amazing aren't they
