If you were given the opportunity to start a home business what would it be?

I would love to start a business and be my own boss. I'm just undecided at the moment on what it would be. So just looking at what others have thought about and if they have thought about it.

I would love to start a catering business. I love cooking so I think if I had the money to start marketing I would do good. In the area that I live there isn't a catering business around.

You should check with the small business or even within your community about a loan or grant. I know we have one in our town, they do so well, that they started offering meals for families. They mail out menu's and you call in place your order and then they will deliver it for a small fee, or they will allow you to come and pick it up. Their food is the absolute best, much better then most restaurants, and no more expensive. You should definitely check out every avenue on that, as it can be a very profitable business. Best of luck to you and I hope you are able to do that one day. Thanks for your comments.

I have started working at home as a freelance writer. This past year was the first year that I really started treating it as a job. I love what I do, well because I love to write. In all honesty though, I never imagined that I would make money as a writer online. The only reason why I did learn was because I joined a couple of nice online communities for those who were looking to work from home. If you are looking for ideas or just someone to talk to who is in a similar situation, wanting to start your own business, I would check out www.wahm.com or www.mymommybiz.com.

If all obstacles were removed, I would start a wedding consulting business. My daughter in law is a wonderfully talented florist, who cannot get a job in that field. A friend of mine grew up doing wedding photos as part of a family business. She and I often team up on wedding showers. I love planning food and decor on a shoestring for things like that. I have a good creative mind for designing decor.

wow that sounds great. i've looked into becoming a wedding planner. I take photographs, i've only done 3 weddings but they were fun. Sometimes I feel as though I'm not very creative though.

I have two things that I've wanted to do for a long time. The first is to run a Coffee Shop + Gaming Store, a place where people can come in, hang out and drink good coffee while playing D&D or GURPS or some other roleplaying game, and maybe if a musician gets the hankering to bust out their guitar and sing a spell, more's the better. The other thing I've wanted to do for a long time is run a successful MMORPG of my own design. I don't have the skills right now to be able to actually do either of these things, but they're the carrot on a stick that I keep striving for someday...

Hi there! After getting tired of working because we weren't earning much, my husband and I put up our own internet cafe and up to now, that's the main source of our income. When we moved here to the province to manage our aunt's beach resort, we worked there part time. Me as an accountant which requires an hour a day, and my husband as the cook which is only when there are guests there that will eat there. I think that choosing your business should mainly be based upon your knowledge. We have computer background and we are into computers, both internet and gaming so we didn't have much difficulties about our business. I hope you'll make the right decision and good luck to your future business.

hei bratsquad3.. i don't think it is practical 2 ask others about something u want 2 set up.. u can simply juz ask yourself..what do u like?what can u do?how much money do u have?are u willing 2 learn something new?? in my opinion there are 4 things that people always need: 1.food 2.cloth 3.medicine n healthy stuff 4.education n learning so i think if u want 2 start a business,u can set up something within this type of category..

My husband and I have an online retail business that might work for you. We are registered with the BBB (a good thing to look for since there are so many scams out there). If you go to my profile, you will find a link to my website where you can check it out. There is a contact button at the top of the screen that you may use to email us for more information. All the best in whatever you decide.
