Do you have more friends online than off?

As I am disabled I dont get out much now-a-days and have lost touch with most of my old off line friends, so now, I find I have more online friends now than off.
I'd like to know are you the same, do you have more friends online than in "real life"?
With "real life" I mean the ones you actually get to meet up with.
I think Internet is a great place to make friends and to get to know people; I can't imagine life without my computer now.
What do you think ?

I too am disabled and now I no longer work I have lost touch with all the friends I had .. and having a pain and fatigue filled life it's hard to get out and meet new people, in fact I can't really cope with a lot of people around me now .. and that's why I like the Internet .. it allows you to have friends but not to be 'crowded' by them ..

I love my computer, and I am very addicted. I have found a lot of real nice and wonderful friends on line, more than off line. I don't get out much either.

There are many types of friends those we see every day or often and those whom we have never met (as online) that we communicate with more often. I have many online friends that I keep in touch with....some I have even telephoned just to make it more touching. However, a have a host of friends here in the small town in Portugal where I live now. A great number of my old friends and classmates have passed on and the others I have lost contact with. Was hoping to attend my 50th Class Reunion but lack of funds kept me from doing so. However, in such cases yours and many more like you I can easily see why a computer and the internet would be a Godsend. Keep those friendships alive.
