Inventions - the most important?

Hello, Inventions are all around us and even now you are probably using several for example the computer or laptop, the chair you may be sitting on or even the internet can be classed as an invention
what do you think is the most important invention ever and what invention do you think you could least live without?
i think that computers would probably rank quite high on peoples lists as well if you did not have one you would not be in this great mylot community talking to other members and having great discussion however there are also of course many others for example cars, and even clothes possibly could be counted as an invention not to mention toilet paper hehe
and do you like to think of and invent new products or just use them hehe?

I think fire and electricity were the greatest inventions. I really think we would be living in medivel ages if that had not happened. Only inventions I create are in the kitchen and savoured ny my family on the dining table. Sometimes they are really yuckey..sorry blurted out the truth i meant to say yummy. lol

fire and electricity were DISCOVERIES and not inventions. They did exist long before they were found, just like gravity, wheel etc.
And I do agree that they are the most important discoveries. :)

ah yes electricity is another great suggestion as it is used to power everything haha! so if we ofcourse have a computer without electric it is pretty much useless
oh imagine if we were really stuck in the dark ages haha

i think the internet is on the top of my list of the best
so much knowledge fun entertainment at your fingertips
friends from all over the world you would never have known
but on the otherhand its given me bad eyes takes up so much of my time and virus as a pain in the butt
the invention i dont think i could live without would have to be motorbikes
spend half my life rideing fixing or talking with friends about them would be lost without 1
dont no what i would do with my time if they were never invented would probebley have to do something stupid like get a real job ..lol

yeah i think the internet can be on the top if not near to the top of everyones list as you say it brings many positives like entertainment, research and news not to mention creating good communities like this but also having some down sides like viruses and so on but i think there more good points
oh what do you do as a job? and how many bikes to you have to ride and fix hehe or just the one?

ye i think the good points do outweigh the bad ones
i fix bikes and cars from home not realey a job but pays the bills
last count i had 6 bikes

yes without invention we would be theere where we were at the beginning of the mankind at the primitive times.for invention we need to dreams,when we dream we get ideas,ideas leads to inventions.so it is not so bad to dream,hehe.i must agree than without invention it is impossible to even talk at mylot.and this discussion would not have taken place hehe,so hats of to the great minds for their great inventions right from toilet paper to computers.all the best.

I'm tempted to say the computer but there was great inventions and real civilization even before the age of computers, it must be electricity that started and powered most of the great inventions so electricity may be the greatest invention sense man invented ways to ignite fire!

Telephone and Internet, this revolute the communication in the world, and a way to connect the internet is telephone, all inventions are most important (war inventions not is important, but ok).

The greatest invention on earth has to be without question ELECTRICITY. Do you realize just how bad things are without it. We rely so much on electricity, nearly everything we do now revolves around electricity. No tv, no computer, no lights, you can't even make a cup of coffee without it! We had a power cut the other day and we didn't have any power for 2 hours, it was at night and I was going crazy.

I think that they are these inventions that in make them to evolve more and more to each day.
Therefore they come stop in helping to facilitate them more our day the day.
However many of the times finish destroying our well most precious one, our Planet.

Just we observe our surroundings.At that time we can understand all are invented things.Computer,internet,paper,weapons,pens, dress items,building materials, furnitures,vehicles and so all.

yeah i agree its best to use them often than sit thinking about them too and it also costs a lot of money to get them made from looking at all the programmes on tv about these type of things like dragonsden etc

The best invention ever is the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell that speech can be transmitted into electrical signal. Where two people at different places can talk with each other. This invention paved the way to other inventions and make every communication possible now like the Internet.

i think anything related with computer is the greatest invention in my life...because computer has changed the human life completely... INTERNET closer the world.also access to trasury of inforamtion is become very easy!!
without electricity the invetion of computer makes no sense!! so electricity is one of the greatest gift given by science to humanbeing.
but in every invention there is good as well as bad side.
every person should take good side use it for creative reason;not for the desructive thing!!

The most important invention ever is obviously electricity once human invented or discovered it then it started to learn how the different behaviours and different uses electricity has and how can we derive most out of it,internet,automobile and all otehers depends upon this invention

Difficult to say, it depends on which period of history we're speaking of. In the contemporary era is something about communication (Internet, as many said).
