Do you think the new myLot under 500 rule is fair?

My myLot opinion lately - Hum drum attitude on this little piece of clip art I found on the net!

I don't. I feel it's going to cause an increase in those old simple postings I hated when I first joined. I also hate not being able to add images unless I start the post. I have so many good ones I want to share!

I don't mind the rule and I do understand that it cuts down on the new spammers. The problem I have found is usually the ones that are copy/pasting are the ones with under 500. It's the ones with 1000's by their name. They got it that high by copy/pasting from others and just posting it in where ever they wanted it to be whether it was on topic or not.

They are the ones who started the crazy :Do you like red hair.. yes or no" posts in the beginning and now we are getting the shaft for it!

I've been a mylot user for a few months... haven't reached 500 yet. I just don't have the time to sink into making a ton of posts each day.

oh yes. i think it is fair. let people have experience first in how to post discussions. then they can be given chances of earning more via photos and all.

It's a bit annoying that I can't post images, but if it cuts down on the spammers and silly posts then I don't mind.

I think it's perfectly fair. It cuts down on new user spam. I've noticed a lot less copy and pasted responses and discussions since the new rule went into effect. And it's only to 500. It's not like they set the limit at 1000 or 2000.

The user spam went down when they tightened up the pay system and passed out the instructions if you remember correctly. Then they cleared the files of all the junk posts and everyone was doing just fine! It is still an awesome site but I think it's real CRAPPY to take away something that you have given your members. They should have started the rating requirement with new members. The software used to design this site is more than capable of that. But if you expect me to jump from 150 to 500 by having conversations the length of this just to have them pay out well, that's a dream.

The spam didn't go down that much when they changed that system. Maybe for a few hours, but that was it. After that, people started copying and pasting responses to post as many lengthy responses as they could. The copy and paste comments practically tripled. And as far as I'm concerned, those are much worse than the stupid poll type discussions or one word answers. I'd rather have those than C&C spam or plagiarized comments. It's actually not that hard to get your post count up with good discussion. I manage 50 to 100 posts a day when I'm busy.

Yes personally I think that this is pure partiality. I mean mylot should be encouraging the new users and not discouraging them. I cannot post images until I'm 500 ,that's very very bad. It has affected my earnings.
