Not so much now, but I've still got my poetry that I created a few years back, and was wondering if and how I could get it published, do you have to pay to get poetry published or is it easy to get your work looked at? I am from the UK, and I don't know where to begin to search or find out more info.

The fact is, poetry doesn't really sell. The best market is poetry contests or magazines that have a poetry section. As for a collection of poems, you are best to self-publish. I have a ton of poems too that I would love to see published somewhere, but I am not holding my breath. I have also begun a collection of short stories and have no idea where to go with those. I would love to see them published too. I think they are good and so do my supporters in my writing group.
