Blended family?

I find this subject a very interesting one for several reasons. First-I find anytime you talk to a parent in a blended family, no matter which side you are talking to.. it's the same story... i.e.-Clothes-"I send them to ___ house and they come home in rags" "I pay child support and they spend it all on themselves" "I pay child support so they can drive brand new cars and I drive around in a beater" Why are the men in blended families treated like white knights riding in on a horse.. yet the females in a blended family get treated like dirty trash? Got any comments or vents you'd like to get out about this?

I don't think that the guys are treated like a white knight. I'm a step mom to 3 kids and for the most part my DH and his ex don't butt heads however there are times that i feel she gets alot in child support and doesn't use it right since she has admitted that my step only has 3 pairs of pants. Why is that? no clue. My hubby pays more than enough in childsupport his ex wife makes pretty good money and her new husband makes better money than my husband and her put to together.. Well thats my child support vent! LOL

You don't think so? I think society puts the "Oh that is SOOO honorable of you to be with a woman who has children, to take on that role of daddy.. that's just soooo great" Then when it comes to the women-We're just daddy's piece of tail.. Heck, look at how step moms are portrayed in movies... Cindrella, wicked step mother!! I'm both! I have a daughter with an ex and I have 3 step kids.. treat em just like they are my own.. but I sure don't get treated that way, especially when it comes to decision making.. I have no say really cuz, well they already have a mom and a dad.. I'm just, I don't know, expected to play the role, when it's convenient for everyone else.. And sista, I so HEAR you on the child support! She does get anymore because of her own dumbness (no whinin from me) but she was working under the table so she didn't have to report her income to child support... she was getting 100% support instead of the 60/40 or however they normally do it.. Yeah..

That should have read *She does NOT get child support any longer*
