Ther are not like "city of god" because most people don't care what really goes on in the world.

Yea i don't think people really care about what happens in other countries. And i also think that they care more about entertainment. People would rather see fiction like War of the Worlds, Matrix, IRobot, and Mission Impossible. Another part of it is that from a young age we Americans don't learn much world history. We mostly focus on US History. There is so much more out there than what happens here.

I think films like that are good as after I watched it I had a different view about Brazil and also about the world and how different peoples lives can be from one another. Also, it was made brilliantly and kept me glued to the screen all the way through. Saying that there is hardly any recent films that have the same affect.

Y'know here in Brazil we think the opposite. At least me. I think that the brazilian movies are all about Slums or the Northeast or real stories. We should have more fiction movies like the action ones we see in hollywood.

Because no one cares about what's going on around. People wants to make movies about 'happy stuff' and 'funny stuff', no one wants to take it 'to serious'.
