What are these things called? Does anyone know, found them in my garage this morning while cleaning. Are they worth anything?

Those are differential parts for a rear wheel drive vehicle. The pointy thing is called a pinion shaft, the large round thingy is called the crown, the small round piece is called a seal. They look brand new, cost I don't know. Happy New Year Thumper2!

Thank you for the information. I thought it was some kind of gears, my husband thinks I was stupid for asking, because he said they were drivetrain parts, but he is not really mechanical. Happy New Year to you!

Sorry to say Thumper but the rear-end or differential is part of the drive-train. Score one for hubby.
