how do you feel about tattoos in general? Personally, I love them. I have two and plan to one day have more. I think they're an expression of who we are and let's face it, men with a tattoos on their biceps or on their back are just plain sexy! What do you think??

I have always wanted to have a butterfly on my left shoulder in the front. I am chicken. My sister said that she would go with me to have one done too. Maybe I will have one done this year. I will be turning 50 in July. What better time than to have one done for the big FIVE O

You go! I just got my first 2 done about 3 weeks ago (I turned 51 on New Year's Eve lol). Was gonna get them done ON my birthday (had the money in my pocket and everything lol) - but the tattoo studio wasn't open! I went with 2 small ones - a snowflake on one bicep and a butterfly on the other. They are to remind of of my daughters. I went with small ones to start since there are the rare occurence (I've heard) of people being allergic to the tattoo ink. Better safe than sorry right? I had always wanted one since I was old enough to get one....got mine a week after my 19 year old got her astrological sign tat done on her ankle (she used her Christmas money for it lol). Am now saving up for the 2 I've always wanted - a pair of dream catchers - one with a cougar, the other with a medicine bear. As for the pain, it wasn't as bad as others made it out to be - but where you get it may make a difference? Also depends on your pain tolerance (mine is pretty high). My daughter went with me when I got mine done and kept asking "Does it hurt"? She seemed amazed when I said no LOL On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, I'd give it a 2, but that's just my experience. And btw.....I'm a female (kinda doubt ya might know that from my username here lol).

My mom is getting her first one at 65. I think that's really funny. Probably because she's my mother...lol. I know alot of people that got tattoo's after 50. When my brother got his last tattoo he came home telling us about this woman that was 73 and getting an eagle on her back....I can't even imagine getting something that big.

Gemini Tattoo - This is a picture of what my gemini tattoo looks like.
I like tattoos, I only have one. I got it when I was 17. That was, oh, about a million years ago..lol I was at the fair with my cousin and we had heard that the "fat man" did tatoos. So when the fair was shutting down for the night we went to where the "freak tent show" was. We saw "the incredible tatoo man" and asked him about it. He said yes, we could get tattoos and he itroduced us to mike. This was the hugest person I had ever seen. We talked to him for quite a while. He had amazing stories to tell. Well I decided to get a gemini sign on the left side of my chest. He only charged 5.00 and let me tell you. Half way through the guy says he needs to take a break because he's doing acid and can't concentrate.. Oh great I thought now what have I gotten myself into. Well he finished it and my cousin had gotten hers first so we left. It was one of the stupidest things I have done. Not so much the tattoo but the way I got it. It didn't come out very professional looking but no one really sees it. My mom just announced about a month ago that she may get a tattoo with her friends from work. I think that's so funny, she's 65. I've been thinking for years about getting another, but can't decide what I want. One of my brothers has alot of them, my sister has a few, but two of my brothers have none. To each his own, I always say.

I think that if people are comfortable with getting one or covering there whole body with them they should. I personally enjoy looking at other people's tattoos especially the ones that have a lot of detail and meaning to that person. I have one on my right shoulder of a flaming heart and sword with the year I graduated from highschool inside the heart. I wear it with pride because school was hard for me to get through and there were times I didn't think that I would graduate. I am now saving for one that will cover my whole back and will be symbolizing the love that I have for all of my family.

I would love to get atleast two tattoos but I am a big scardy cat of the needles. My brother have them and I htink htey are so cool I was wanting a dragon fly and a rose maybe. My grandmother was always telling my brothers that they shouldn't be marking their bodies up with tats but I secretly rooted for them. And it might take till I'm a hundred but I think I will get one. Yes, I like men with tattoos if they are in good taste.

I hate tattoos, I could never have one done, I couldn't stand the pain for one and secondly they don't look very nice especially when you get older and your skin starts to shrink. I don't even like them on other people either and find them offputting, not that it would make or break a potential relationship but I would make my feelings clear that I didn't like it.

I like tattoos, I have three of them. One on the back of my neck, one on upper mid back, and the other on my lower right leg on the side. I wish I had more money to get more tattoos, but I am positive that I will get more.

I think they are disgusting. My son just told me yesterday that he has 4 of them and is planning a 5th. I don't know how that child and I could be genetically related. (But I guess if that is the worse thing he does....) My son also said a friend of his want to remove one, so he used a metal cheese grater to scrape it off. It left a nasty scar, he could not afford laser surgery. But what happens when people get old, the skin sags and wrinkles, the colors get ugly. This is not art, it is a form of self mutilation

Indeed I have five tattoos and I would love to have more. I like getting tattooed and admiring the art afterwards. My only regret is that I don't have more money to get more ink.
