His greatest opponents, namely Shane and Glenn are retiring. Is it any indication towards sachin that his time is also nearing? If so,what do you think? When should he retire? I am asking this because, his retirement will cause a chain reaction, like the aussies. He,dravid,Sourav and kumble are all in mid 30's. So,can Team India handle such a chain reaction of retirements in quick succesion, like the aussies?

That is the thing to happen in next century...Sachin tendulkar is a cricketer, but above that he is a human...win and lose will happen in everyone's life.As a true fan we have to congratulate when he plays well and same time we have to support when he is out of form..The problem that sachin faced may happen in every famous stars..I have no doubt about sachin's talent...

i think sachin got back to his old form now. it is not good to retire now. he should play one or two years. then our batsmen saurav and rahul also in end of their career. but we have young prospects and talents like robin uthappa, suresh raina and we have ramesh powar as good spinner.so our stars retirement wont affect team india much.

i think he can still continue for another couple of years ,the reason for warne and mcgarth retiring is that its really difficult for the bowlers to continue after the age of 35,also tendulkar is still in starting 30s and he had some rest like for a season for cricket as well , i think his fitness will allow him to continue more and will be picked for crucial seris and not be played against cricket minnows

Shane warne, McGrath are 36 years old and will be 37 the current year. So they can think of retirement. But Sachin Tendulkar is only 32 and still can play the next world cup. Brian Lara is also 37 but still playing, Englands Getting and Alec Stuart retired in 40's. For me, he should retire after the world cup in India, provided he play the same as now.

I think there is still time left for Sachin, he is still 33 and he can play another 4 years, It is the time to guide players like Dhonis, Yuvrajs, Dinesh Kartheeks etc. People are still playing when they are more than 37, players like Stev Waugh Retired at the age of 37. Sachin must play 4 years atleast

The retirement of Astle from international cricket is an example for all others. If one does feel that he is doing nothing to lead his team to victory or he is struggling to play upto his abilities, then he should retire. It's upto Sachin to decide and make a decision. The retirement of Warne & McGrath has nothing to do with Sachin's retirement.

sachin has to play until he fails to make good cricket.... at present he is in number 1 position, also only 33 so he might retire after world cup in INDIA

There is too much of pressure on Tendulkar now a days from the media.. What we expect from tendulkar is to score a 100 in every match. Its not at all possible, people say that tendulkar is not at his best when he fails to score a century.. the expectation is high from the media and people.. Accoring to me he is lived up to the expectation by scoring more than 75+ Centruries in International cricket.. He is playing his best cricket for ever.. he is at his peak only for ever.. he can play for another 4-5 years according to me..

The retirement of Shane and Glenn has nothing to do with sachin. He should retire when he thinks that his body is not able to cope up with the tough conditions in the cricket field. As long as he remains fit,he needn't think of a retirement. And the retirement of Sachin, dravid,Sourav and kumble are going to take place almost at the same time, which can be a concern for the cricket board as well as for the Indian Cricket fans, because all of them are great players and finding the right replacements for them is not going to be easy.....
