Have any of you found a homeless animal and taken it home or to the shelter

Have you ever found a homeless animal like a dog or cat and stopped to pick it up and take it home? or maybe just stop to give it some food? or taook it to a shelter or just did something good for the poor homeless animal? I myself have stopped many times and fed the homeless dogs for I always carry a large bag of dogfood in the van and a couple of can dog food. and I have taken one or two dogs home with me, as a matter of fact they are still with years they turned out to be real good house pets and they are potty-trained and very obedient. I just wish some more people would adopt the homeless animals that are running on the cold streets hungry and scared. I love dogs and wish I had the resources to take them all in and let them be happy. Tell me mylot members especially you dog and animal lovers like me speak out and answer this discussion for Id like to know how many of you have a big heart for dogs like I do.. I hope you will participate in this discussion and speak out, dont be shy?//

All the time when I was a nipper.
I used to see a dog looking hungry and lonely I would take it home and often someone would come and take it away to the dogs home.
That rarely happens now in the UK as most dogs who stray are often picked up and taken to the police station or rescue centres.
A few months ago we had two Staffies wandering around out front so my wife and I herded then both into our back garden. Soon there was someone passing by looking for them and took them away home. My wife went home with them in case they were bogus but they were not.

Evacuee welcome to mylot I see by your post that you have not been here to long or maybe your like me I have been here a couple of months but I onlyu write a few discussions once in awhile spend most of my time responding to the comments and responses. Say are you from england? the reason I asked is because you siad nipper? this does mean when you were a youngster? I had never heard that word before but it sounds like a word from england or maybe Ireland?LOL I really do not know..LOL Im glad you love dogs tho and you take time to care for them and Im also happy to know your wife went home with them in case they were bogus,now thats a special kind caring lady and you tell her I said that. You both keep loving the dogs and help them out when you see they need help for they give us so much . Best of luck and thank you for responding I gave you a big +

My current cat Magic was a stray, him his brothers and sisters hung around our house with thier mom for awhile
we kept trying to catch them to bring them in, but never could, well one day we were coming down the driveway and Magic was laying there in our drive... he was freezing and skinny, we took him in and he's still with us today.....

i hav a pet who ws ws a stray....... he ws sooo cute dat i got him home.he ws a little puppy. He is very intelligent n is well trained n every1 in mah family loves him...n we r happy dat we adopted him.

yup,,,once coming from skul to home i saw a kitten....who was very weak....so i just stooped and tokk it ,,,now it is a grown up cat and she is now having three more kittens ...i always feel gud when i saw them...they really makes me happy....and i love cats...
