Do you ever look at the "Discussions with no replies"

Hi. I make it a habit of going to the "New Discussions" and Discussions without replies" sections on myLot. Does anybody else do this? I do it because it helps us all if we respond and get someone's topic started. I had thought this might be a reciprocal way to get things rolling, but it appears nobody else does this. How may of you first check out the new discussions section or the discussions with no responses before you do anything else? If you don't bother to go there, why not?

Yes. And I sort of feel like if I reply, I may get the discussion going in a better way than it might have otherwise. I don't want the discussion to derail like a train!

hi,i too prefer to attend no replies and new discussions...some quality discussions will be activated and they may get some more responses.because i know the feelings, when some one get responses after some waiting period as i have started almost 1200 discussions and out of that 450 discussions were with no replies still.

If I have enough time, I always try to have a look at other discussions -- including those with no replies -- and answer them, but I usually privilege the discussions started by the friends I have chosen. Like in most things in life, it's not a question of unwillingness, but of time. After all, there are only 24 hours in a day, and you need to prioritise things in order to get them done. So: my friends first, then I'll see if I have time for the others too.

Yep, I check out my friends first and see if they have anything with no replies. Then I make an effort to move on to those who have no replies. After all, they may become a friend.

I always go to the discussions with no response. It's where i make most of my comments, because other discussions, every one has basically said what you wanted to say and there is not point in just repeating the same answer right?

I prefer to look at the "Discussions with no replies because if you go back about 10 pages you can usually get to the ones no one is answering because they take actual thought to answer - instead of yes or no.

It's not the first section I check - I check discussions friends have posted and discussions from my interests first - but I do check it pretty regularly. There are some good discussions there that get overlooked, and it can be a good way to build connections and friendships. I've met some really cool people that way.

I don't actually seek out discussions with no replies. I always go to new discussions and if I have a suitable comment to make, then I will make it, whether or not the discussion has already gotten replies. I will of course always try to respond to discussions with no replies.

I also enjoy checking these areas for posts. I find that if I go here I see a lot less nonsense and can actually read some good posts. I don't much care for weeding through all the junk posts to find the good ones.

Yes I have just started looking for discussions with no reply. I wish someone would reply to a couple of things I posted that I was really anxious to discuss, maybe they will. Usually I look within my interests first though. I try to remember to rate them too. By the way, is there a way to tell if your discussion has been rated? Good discussion, thanks.

its like a two way process, if you will reply to someone's discussion you will get a reply and if you dont chances are you wont be able to do it. anyway chill out guys and reply to every unresponded topics, start with mine...lol...

Yeah! Good you started a discussion as such. Everybody seems to respond only to the popular discussions and don't pay attention to the new ones.. By participating in new discussions, you can express yourself truly, that is without any influence from the previous opinions posted by others. Also, it's a way of helping the discusser to expand the topic he or she posted as well as making he or she earn more! :)

Exactly. Those topics just get forgotten about. And my topics that do get a lot of replies never seem to stay on the front page for long.

After I go through and respond to those that have responded to my discussions, I go to my friends that have started discussions and respond to those. As time permits I do occasionally go to the new discussions section and try to help someone get started. I would hope that someonew would do that for me too. This is a community and we need to stick together to make it a better place.

I constantly look at new discussions and discussions with no replys as it helps people who are not getting any reply's with getting the posts up there. I think it is only fair if someone replys to my post then i reply to theres thats how i work through alot of my friends topics. Good post mate.

You know, I had never been able to see the "Discussions with no replies" before. Until I signed out. But as soon as I sign back in, they're gone! I'm not sure why. If I could see them, I would look!
