How to Layer eye shawdow?

Of course there are many ways to do this, but... one that I've learned is start with the cream do your entire lid, then use the tan up to your brow bone. Then go back and do the dark either to your crease or lower, depending on how you like it.

You'll usually want to use a hightlight, a midtone and an accent color when you apply your eyeshadow. You can apply it differently to enhance your eye shape. Hooded eyes, droopy eyes, close-set eyes, etc.
