Have you seen the new "Charlotte's Web" movie?

I was looking forward to seeing this since Charlotte's Web was one of my favorite books as a child. Then, I made the mistake of reading some reviews in our local newspaper and it got horrible ratings. Mind you, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to movie critics because they aren't looking for the same things I am in a film. I prefer to hear from people like me, attending a movie with or without family, etc. Have you seen it? What did you think?

No, I haven't seen this movie, yet. I think you should go see it yourself because many times I end up really liking movies that the critics didn't. You are right, they aren't looking for the same things as you so only you can judge if you will like it. :) I say give it a try!

Oh yes, I'm sure I'll see it... I guess when I see the critics really pan a movie, then I'm more inclined to wait for the DVD release rather than spending so much money for the whole family to see it in the theater. It's costs a fortune these days! But I won't able to resist seeing it in some way ... it just looks too cute LOL

Yeah, I agree. I hate going to see movies in the theater because it is so expensive! We try to wait to rent or buy it. Sometimes I download them from the internet, but it's not the same when you have to watch it on your computer. lol.

LOL that's true! The screen's a whole lot smaller and the popcorn really plays havoc with your keyboard ;)

Amen to that babystar... I have to really budget for it if we plan to go out to the movies as a family of four. Especially since some theaters give a reduction in entry fee for students and some don't anymore. We do most of our movie-watching at home. Every once in awhile it's a treat to go out though :)

I don't listen to much to critics, I think they look too deep instead of just enjoying.

So true! I don't need an in-depth analysis of every aspect of a movie... I go to the movies (or rent them) just to escape for awhile. I love to lose myself in a film, tuning out everything else for a couple of hours and just enjoying it. I rarely leave a movie and say, "oh I HATED that... what a waste of money..." We don't go out that much so, when we do, I always have a good time :D
