What indoor plant would you recommend that is easy to care for, and not poison if one owns pets. I will only be reading and rating all replys. Thank you.

I have just bamboo and cactus plants, they don't need much attention and I can go on holidays and forget about them. My dogs have often chewed on them and have come to no harm.

coleus - one plant that is easy to get and care for and make more of
I have a couple of coleus that my kitties have not ever bothered. They grow well and you can take cuttings and root them in water and make even more. My asparagus fern also is not touched by my feline friends. So these two are the ones I would suggest to you to start with.

I love my peace lily. It is easy to care for. Just water it when it looks a little droopy and give it food in the springtime. My cat bats at it and chews on it. SHe is still around.
