150 A Rape question

Please give me your view point on what kind of a punishment should be given to a person that rapes someone by force? I will only be reading and rating replys. Thank you.

Send the person to jail for a long time and give them something to think about. I sure that wouldn't do it again, if they stay in jail long enough.

They should be locked up for life and the key thrown away. They also should be forced to do hard labour.

I think they should be trialled the same as anyone else and then a very harsh punishment given (10 - 20 years) They person that is the victim has to live with this for the rest of their lives and yet the rapist tends to be out and free to do it again in a very short time.

I can assume it is a given they have been legally convicted. That said, they should be turned over to the family of the victim or given a great cellmate named Bubba whose in prision because someone raped HIS family and he dealt with them outside the law
