I have read the Alchemist, I think its a book that you could read again and again and still find something new in it. I also enjoyed Zahir, and I've just started the Valkyries. I'd be interested in any one elses veiws on it

The best line I've ever read and I have taken it to heart is this: "When you want something, the universe will conspire for you to have it." It is the recurring theme of the book and it is quite inspiring. Although, I cannot commend Coelho's writing style. There was nothing extraordinary about his storytelling skills or the plot of this book.
