Infact both, when I was a beginner, I heared that if I increase RAM then my pc will be fast, or if I increase procsssor, my pc will be fast, and if I increase both, it will be very fast. Now I am almost a bachlour in computer science, I know the reason why, for RAM, the pc will be fast because when we open big programs/softwares, they take size in memory which will slow down pc because windows itself takes consdierable space in RAM so if RAM is increases, there will be more space, it is just like if u r walking in a street that is full of ppl, then u will walk slowly, and if there are less ppl or the street is too wide, then u will move freely and fastly, Secondly the processor, the reason is, its like a human brain, the more sharp it is the less time it will take responding to the commands. All in all I recommend u to increase RAM as with the time passing, new software/games/movies require more RAM and CPU requirments are far less increased than RAM

there is no such thing as more important when it comes to computer system. one chipset is as important as the other since they compliment each other. the computer system will not function very well with out one of them. greetings. : )

Well, both the capacity of the RAM and the processing speed of the CPU is very important for a performant system to be built. One cannot live without the other...

I think that the speed is more important.I`m sure about that.I have enough memory, but my PC is working verry slow.I think I should buy RAM.:)

both, wit a good processor and small amount of memory u get slow downs, because process will go loaded in Hard Drive and with a large amounth of memory and slow processor, u will have a slow pc without slowdowns...

Both are very important. Without one of them you can't expect your PC to be fast. You try with a slow CPU speed and more than 1GB of RAM. You will find that you are not getting the same speed which you are supposed to. So both are important.

for todays pc the RAM should be good a min of 512 MB it is not important the CPU Speed should be good

they're mattering both, because if you've a swift processor but have little memory ram, the pc goes slow however

In a computer memory and CPU work together. If you have a high memory you should also have a fast CPU and vice versa. Both of these parts contribute to the total performance of you computer.

Its memory that enhances system speed and thus quickens up all speeds. Thats why all better configuration games require 512mb RAM for support.

For me all that matters is cpu's speed .slow and sluggish cpu's gives a lot of headache it is really irritating that you have to wait for about 5 mins inorder to open even a small application its too painful.

Both are improtant. Betterment in any one will improve the speed of Coputer.

Very important specifications of a computer are memory and Speed. Both are equally important. At this point of time we can increase by increasing the RAM,(RAM is for Memory and Hard disk is for storage)so by increasing the numbers of RAM we can increase the memory whereas speed is somewhat complex and related to the technological availability, like the supercomputer which is catagorized based on the speed.Right now we have the limitation of speed.Even though I am in favour of speed but both are integal parts of a computer. Just as your heart and brain! If you are asked which one is more important? Your obvious answer is both are important and integral parts of human beings.

Both are very important. but, i think it is speed which is very important for computer. if it slow then what is the use of computer. man will do it physically. for storage we have cd's, floppies, etc... where we can save the data we need speed in computer. memory comes next as it can be saved in other objects also.

For me it is the CPU speed which I'll go for. Unless the computer works fast what will I do with a high memory? Apart from that I hate waiting for the computer to respond.

i think you need BOth but if i have to choose 1 i would chose CPU Speed.
