Ok if you are an Asian or know some1 who is an Asian read below and let me know if you think its correct....and ohh yea INDIANS YOU ARE ASIANS TOO so please join..... ___________________________________________________________ You know you are Asian when.. * When you tell your parents you got 98%, and they ask you what happened to the other two percent. * There is a sale on any item, you buy 100 of them. * You make tea in a saucepan. * You never buy bin bags, but use your saved grocery bags for it. * You put your clothes in suitcases instead of wardrobes. * You have a 'Singer Brother' sewing machine at home. * Your mother has a minor disagreement with her sister and doesn't talk to her for ten years. * You call an older person you've never met before "uncle". * You hide everything from your parents. * Your mother does everything for you if you are male. * You do all the housework and cooking if you are female. * Your relatives alone could populate a small city. * Everyone is a family friend. * Everyone always called you for help on homework. * You study law, medicine or engineering at university. * You were thick so you studied computer science or business instead. * You know no one who has studied music. * You went to a university as far away from home as possible. * You still came back home to live with your parents after you had finished. * Your best friend got married at the age of 18. * You like the meat well done. * You eat onions with everything. * You use chilli sauce instead of tomato ketchup.

A lawyer married a woman who had previously divorced ten husbands. On their wedding night, she told her new husband, "Please be gentle, I'm still a virgin." "What?" said the puzzled groom. "How can that be if you've been married ten times?" "Well, Husband #1 was a sales representative: he kept telling me how great it was going to be. Husband #2 was in software services: he was never really sure how it was supposed to function, but he said he'd look into it and get back to me. Husband #3 was from field services: he said everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn't get the system up. Husband #4 was in telemarketing: even though he knew he had the order, he didn't know when he would be able to deliver. Husband #5 was an engineer: he understood the basic process but wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state-of-the-art method. Husband #6 was from finance and administration: he thought he knew how, but he wasn't sure whether it was his job or not. Husband #7 was in marketing: although he had a nice product, he was never sure how to position it. Husband #8 was a psychologist: all he ever did was talk about it. Husband #9 was a gynecologist: all he did was look at it. Husband #10 was a stamp collector: all he ever did was... God! I miss him! But now that I've married you, I'm really excited!" "Good," said the new husband, "but, why?" "You're a lawyer. This time I know I'm gonna get screwed!"

guilty as charged .i am male and most of what you have said above i have done it.but i should point out that typecasting asians this way is not that good in the sense that i believe that everyone is an individual and all that u ahve said above need not apply.as a matter of fact some of the points esp the last 4 does not apply to me.that said i have given some links here that i hope u wil look through for more info on asians and tha tthis will make u appreciate asians more! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian http://www.redhotcurry.com/ http://www.india-newsbehindnews.com/leisure.html

i would also like to add that this topic esp the typecating is likely to offend many asians which makes me think say if we are going to typecast others should we also not typecast you.i mean whats sauce for us asians is sauce for u too right?so which natonality do you belong to dude?

Seriously, most of those statements are true pertaining to me. Filipinos are CHEAP. We mulituply like rabbits. I also hate myself when I don'y get a perfect score. My parents aren't satified with 98%. Yeah, it's like that for me. But I must admit I like it.

Correction..we're not cheap...we're thrifty...hehehe. :P Sounds better. Anyway, about the other statements, some are true some are not...its a case to case thing, I think. I like my meat medium-well and I don't use chili sauce, I use ketchup..not tomato though, the sweet-spicy banana kind. Hehehe.

You got most correctly! And i would like to react on some topics.. 1. Asians have strong family ties. Parents try to be as responsible as they can to their young and not-so-young ones. In return, their children give them total respect and do everything that will please them. 2. We love Mother Earth! That's why we keep on recycling things. It's also a way of saving our money. 3. We like our food well-cooked! And flavorful! That's why we add lots of spices and seasonings.. Have you tried one? BY the way, where are you from? :)

I am a Filipino, an Asian. Yes, there are many of the list, but not all, are true to us. It's amusing anyway how others see and think of Asians. The Philippines is a third world country and we really lack so many things. I hope other countries would understand.

I'm a Singaporean, an Asian. While some of the points made are somewhat true, the rest are pretty much nonsense. However, I think it depends on how you're brought up, and where you live. I know many people who studied music, females who are having successful careers. and I love both chilli sauce and tomato ketchup. I don't like onions either. lol. So yeah, the points made are pretty subjective I guess.

well to be frank you are right to some extent. but in some cases you go wrong
5 Jan 07
Hey you can't generalize all Asians based on some forward you found on the internet. Most of it may be true but not all of it. And it may not apply to all Asians

well i too agree with some of ur points above. But some are not correct like hiding everything from parents and getting married at age of 18 doesn't happens now.Now even girls are ready to marry after 25 only.Nowadays both male & female does housework & cooking since both are going to work.

I am not Asian but I do know some, well some of these things you have written here is right but some is not that I have heard of about Asians so everybody is different and what a boring world it would be if everybody would be the same, and you say that Indians are not Asians they are a very different race.

Well , yeah Im indian. And some of your points are correct in my case eg When you tell your parents you got 98 % they ask about the 2 % instead of congratulating lol. Your discussion is really funny and I think it is true on most points for EVRY asian! I liked the part where you have said everyone is a family friend and your relatives could populate an entire city!Really true!
