I know this is a kinda of lame topic but I was wondering if anyone else is addicted to pepsi. I swear if I go without it for a day I get widthdrawal symptoms such as headaches, moodness and I would bite the head off anyone who tried to talk to me. I said I was going to give it up for New Years. Yah right. People say switch to diet pop. I try and I hate the taste. I am here beating myself up because I drank the darn stuff again today. Please if you suffer this problem or had it and found away to get off the pepsi let me know. I would appreciate any advice.

The only way to get rid of addiction is to reduce the amount of pepsi every time you take, after that reduce the number of times , slowly you can do this , if you will try to leave altogether it would be tough.

Hi Linda! I have had a different problem concerning drinking Pepsi. A couple of years ago, I weaned myself off of Pepsi, because the doctor told me I needed too. Then I started having trouble with my sleeping habits. During the day, I would get so sleepy, so I started taking naps. Then I would be awake all night. This went on for quite some time, and I could not get back to sleeping nights and being awake through the day when I could get more done. So finally, I was thinking to myself, I didn't used to have this problem when I was working. What am I doing different now? Then it hit me...the Pepsi was keeping me awake during the day. Needless to say, I am back to drinking Pepsi! And I love it! :)

How does the pepsi affect your weight?

Very true...I think it is the caffeine. I was hooked on it once in my twenties. I finally quit drinking it and now I can't stand the stuff. I fyou like tea or coffee, you can quit by drinking a little of that when you get a deadache. It will make the headache stop. But not too much, cause then you will just get addicted to that too.

I used to like coffee but I don't anymore. I do like hot chocolate but it is so fatting and I want to lose weight.

I think the main reason your addicted would be because of the caffeine. You have to watch and ween yourself off slowly otherwise you will get major headaches. Now I have tried decaff pop but I really didn't like it. But I know if you change to something else you will aquire a taste for it. I changed over to diet pop many years back and I'm so use to it. There is no after taste or anything. If I taste the regular I find it so strong. I also got in the habit of really deluting my pop. I would put a ton of ice in the glass before I had it and I got use to that too. So I think you can get use to something new you just have to give it a chance.

Yeah, I'm kind of addicted to coke. I have to have at least a couple a day or I'll feel kind of lightheaded and weird.
