In September my mother paid $3900 for me to have LASIK surgery. She gave me the gift of sight after having already given me the gift of life, and you can't beat that!

You must have a really wonderful mother. That is really great! I had Lasik surgery a couple of years ago and it's one of the best things I ever had done.

I was in the training period during my employment and I borrowed some items from training library. I left the items for 10 min on table in the cafe & when I came back they were gone..! I was asked to pay 1000 Saudi Riyal ($266)and it was a huge amount for a new hire. I came the other day and I found all my classmates waiting for me and then my closest one stepped forward and handed the amount of money he collected from the class. That was such a touching moment and it was my first time to be faced with such gesture. I guess somebody up their still likes me !

I meant to ask about your daughter. That is really scarey to have a kid hit by a car. How old was she? How long ago was that? Is she ok now?

The nicest thing anyone has ever done for me was a dear friend who always takes the time to drop me a note just to tell me she is thinking of me. She is partially blind and suffers from arthritis but makes the effort and she always seems to know when I need a boost, which is what her notes give me. A genuine friend I love dearly.

That is a really wonderful lady indeed. That must make you feel wonderful to know that she went to so much trouble just for you. She must be a lovely person with a big heart.

You have a very good point. There is probably not many things that can outdo what our parents have done for us.

It is not easy to answer. Maybe mine is that my exhusband gave me a lot of money so that I can buy a bigger flat for me and our son. And he said I do not have to pay back. He is not rich at all. He gave to me the bigger part of his saved money!! Well, I paid back the half of it.And I intend to pay back the whole, but it was so kind of him. wasn't it.

My husband had just lost his job and we were really having a hard time financially. It was close to the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays and my doorbell rang. When I went to the door, it was as delivery person delivering a 20 pound spiral sliced ham from a local business! There was no card or anything...and I never knew who sent it, but it sure came at a good time. Someone was doing a random act of kindness....and to this day, I try to do several per week myself!
