Sehwag opener or middle order bat ?

Recent series with South africa has exposed sehwag's ability to handle new ball as he plays his naturally aggressive game and in the process edges to moving ball. But lower down the order, he plays spinner very well and also pacers as ball dont swing. Whats ur choice?

Definitely a middle order batsmen. When spin is in action he simply rocks.I wish tomorrow kumble shows his magic or else we are doomed. And if we loose sehwag will surely loose his place

I think if kumble dont pick 1-2 wickets today, it will be tough for india and i just hope sehwag and sachin can pick wickets tomorrow as well

Sehwag is a good opener and he would play as a opener in next matches ... He flops in S.A recent series or we can say he is out of form,, it doesnt mean that he is not a good opener or he cant face new bowl.

it is not that he flopped just in SA but he has a continued bad run, which is worrying. If saurav and sachin can open againone dayers, who still have record of scoring most runs as opening partners. Sehwag could be very destructive in middle overs as he players spinners very well but in initial overs he is going for his shots too early as a result getting out

Surely he has been in the worst form of his career. But with the kind of not so good technique he has, he's always been suspect against new ball even when he was scoring runs in tons. But as experts like sunil gavaskar say when batsman like sehwag go out of form, its more difficult for them to get back to form as they don't have good technique. Sehwag will get dropped from tests for sure but not from one dayers as he's always been in guru greg's plans for the world cup.

yeah its tough to get back in form for him bcoz of technique but surely only way for him to get in form is to hit his way out and he will need the flatest pitch to do it

i think it would be too harsh as he has done well over a period of time scores centuries in last series against west indies and had couple of good knocks in one dayers when rest of batsmen falied except yuvraj. We probably expect too much from him, if he has to be dropped then maybe sachin and dravid should be dropped and we should hope that they make a comeback like ganguly

sehwag is better of in the middle order, i think for test matches, he has lost his confidence, for some time he needs to bat down the order.

i think it is case that he has lost confidence as opener and he has ben failing in one-dayers as well and not only in test matches

sehwag is always struggled with swing. To play swing bowling you need to have better footwrk sehwag doesnt have that, I think he should come in the middle order atleast in test matches, that is only way he can be fit in the current indian team

Yes, its very important to alter player's poistions according to its abilities and short coming, unfortunatley this is not applied in internationall cricket, even by australia, the players who can play the new ball (swing) very well should be promoted to each and every one who cannot do that ! Beleive me if teams start to follow to send players at sutiable conditions with the ball, the bowling will be more difficult !

Sehwag started his batting career as a middle order batsman. His batting style is very much suitable for old bowl wen ball doesnt swing as much as new ball.He can face spine attack very well so he shuld be middle order batsman.

sehwag should bat as no1 since he is an agressive man who brings the lots of runs within the very first few overs so he should beget as no1

he shud come at middle order bcoz he gets out soon at opening and then pressure comes at other batsmen
