In the old testament - Noah and Moses are the 2 men I admire alot - Noah because he had faith, and believed not only in God but in himself enough to know that God had told him to build the ark - not to mention I love animals. Moses because he had personal obstacles to overcome to obey God, and he was passionate for his people. In the new testament I relate alot to Peter, because he was quick to respond without thinking first. The woman I admire in the old testament, Sarah-Abrahams wife and Mary Jesus mom - it must have been something for her to know who Jesus was and raise Him and it must have been aganoizing to see Him died on the cross, and she was among the first followers who receive the Holy Ghost in the upper room. Who are your favorite Biblical People?

Mine is Doubtful Thomas. I don't know if I really dig the fact he had no problem questioning things and it was cool with Jesus, or if it's the fact I relate so much with him. However I have always felt like Thomas was my most favorite person from the Bible.

I think that sometimes we should cut "doubtful" Thomas a break - I don't know if maybe he was doubtful, but I like to think he just wanted reassurance with what he already knew to be true -- And didn't Jesus deliver!!!! SO many people don't realize how "cool" Jesus really is about His people. Best wishes :)

Joseph with his colored coat :) I love that play, but even without the musical he is someone to be admired. He gave his brothers forgiveness even after all the bad stuff they did to him. But of course, everyone in the bible stories is to be admired b/c most all of them did something great in their lives!

Oh I agree that the majority of biblical figures are to be admired and most did wonderful and great things in their lives for others and the Lord --- but I believe in God's infinite wisdom He reveals so many different men and woman with so many different contributions and characteristics so that each individual will find "someone" to relate too, that will ultimately bring them into/or a closer relationship with Him. Joseph is extremely awesome, and such a beautiful example of how not only forgiveness, but of belief, faith and hope in God always prevails. I do admire Joseph because he accomplished something I struggle with constantly -- forgiveness and faith :)

I like Gideon. The Lord sure asked him to have a lot of faith when he told him to send home the majority of his men to fight an enemy that already out numbered them. No matter what crazy thing the Lord asked of him he did it. I sometimes fell like that in my life.

I relate to Peter. He would do things without thinking them out, he would argue with Jesus, he even denied Him, but loved Him very much and always was sorry when he messed up and had a great desire to learn more and to grow in faith and understanding. There is hope for me! LOL I also like Paul. He was self-righteous and persecuted the believers until God got his attention and he became a believer himself. I'm a convert to the Catholic faith, so I can relate to his change of beliefs. I also admire the faith of Mary. When God says, do this, I tend to say, well, are you sure? don't you think it would be better this way? or can you show me how that's going to work first? Mary, not understanding how it could be possible, nevertheless accepted what the angel told her and said, Let it be done to me according to your word. I would like to get to the point where I accept everything with such great faith!

I'm with you on Peter, he helps me understand that even with my fallacies and shortcomings, Jesus still is with us and understands our human failings. :)

I admire, Paul , because of his strong faith. I admire Moses He fast 40days for two times almost 80days because of the wickedness of his fellow countrymen. Ofcourse I admire Jesus as a Son of God, He offer his own self as a ransom for our sin.

Paul's faith is awesome and his obedience and suffering is considerable. Moses had a lot of compassion for others and was willing to question God -- and I too love and worship Jesus the saviour of my soul. :)
